Can confirm, the Huey pilots are real people. There are legitimately people who just train and fly Huey's on one map that uses them a bunch. They made this game free on epic recently and some people decided it was a good idea to try and become a Huey pilot their first day playing. I have never had less fun on that map

The 1-2 shots to kill is part of what made Onward so terrifying. That and the gun shots being far louder than any other sound in the game. But yeah it's crazy how much it changes the gameplay. 3-4 bullets to kill and you have run and gun call of duty. 1-2 bullets to kill and you have the most terrifying game of hide and seek where everyone is both hiding and seeking.

The campaign servers on that game are actually insane, you play each other on a map of Vietnam and the team has to vote where the battle will take place next to take more of the enemy territory. The coolest part about it is either side can defend or attack on any map. I would play a game or two then my roommate would hop on and play a few, most of the campaigns lasted 8-10 hours, some of the good ones could last over 12 hours if the teams are even and hardly anyone would leave. Some of the queues for the campaign server would last hours, one of my favorite experiences of online gaming.

*One thing that could really take this game to the next level would be to have bullets cause wounds when hitting the shoulder, arms, lower legs, etc* ...Instead of insta-killing you when hit in the toe by an AK round. The wounds would be heal-able by the medic class with a bandage or bullet extraction animation a la Far Cry 2, and maybe a painkiller mechanic where you have 3 morphine vials that stop the effects of the would for like 1 or 3 minutes each and then when you run out if you didn't find a medic you start loosing hp and die. Obviously this is just an example of how it could be done, but this would add so much realism feel and encourage teamwork and squad teamplay with one guy with an M60, one medic, 3 guys with M16's, one guy with a scoped battle rifle and one guy with a flame thrower and grease gun or bazooka and grease gun as well as mines or explosives. So much potential !
@cognittie9302 жыл бұрын
It's set up so that if you get shot in the foot or an arm, you begin to limp/lose control of your gun. Hold a button to apply a bandage before you die. Not a medical system by any mean, but it's good enough.

When I graduated, I played this game none stop, became one of the best players of all time to play the game. I do mean that There's only maybe 5 players in rising storm whole entire player base that can counter me and slow me down and my team. One player, (don't know his name) has 3.8k hours, the second the rounded started I knew something was wrong. When your that good, when i saw the kill feed and I knew instantly he was different. I'll put like this, he was always 20% better then me... I'm ALWAYS 1st, I'm dozens of points in front of any player, sometime had more point then half my whole team COMBINED. so too see a guy who's a "natural predator" in his game, was incredible. I would sit there and watch him play the game like doing art, everything he did was plan and thoroughly did to win. Every single strategy he did was so well thought, and plan out.
