When Joe mentioned the level with the tank battle that gave me an idea. What if there was a level where you and a team of cops had to take on a drug lord yet all of a sudden he pulls out a fully armed battle tank and you have no weapons or equipment that can stop or slow him down. so the whole level is you sneaking behind buildings and different forms of cover that keep getting blown away surviving by the skin of your teeth frantically searching the surrounding area for something anything that could save you from the tank. That actually would have been a really interesting intense exciting level.

This game's single player was actually not bad. I enjoyed it for what it was. I enjoyed the change of scenery from military to crime. I understand Joe disappointment though. He wanted a CSI type of game but it's more akin to BAD BOYS. I agree with Joe. This should have been it's own IP and not associated with Battlefield.

There are too many good alternatives for it to crash where as in the early 80s that wasn't the case. You didn't have good indie games and tons of information on which games would suck or a bajillion shitty clones of games. Here's the problem; the industry was killed, resurrected, then brought back to life... And now it's starting to stink again. It won't die, it's a zombie, but it's a fate maybe worse than death. The industry may never stop coming up with new ways to fuck the customer over and with an army of fanboys defending it, why stop? In 1982 they didn't have shitty DRM or content cut out of games and sold later. We did have shitty, unplayable games in 1982 but these were games that were rushed out in about a month whereas we have so-called "Triple A" publishers cranking games for their IPs once a year and they arguably as damaging to the industry as the shit games were from 1982. Except that this industry won't die, it will hit rock bottom eventually if people don't stop defending these companies and continue to pre-order video games. That's the saddest part, because the industry crashing was THE BEST thing to happen because when Nintendo rose up to bring video games back, they learned from all the mistakes up to that point. I want another crash to happen, even if it's for a year, so companies would stop fucking us over and people would finally wake the hell up.

ASCG5000 True Crime really is one of the more underrated third person shooters. It's one of the first games to implement a karma system (this was before Infamous made that popular). You can be a good or bad cop depending on your actions and you get different endings (and even different missions) based on your affiliation.

xBlutchx Not true, the truth can be negative. Another name negative truth is a cold fact or brutal honesty. Ex: A doctor telling a parent their child die. Is that not inherently negative? Negative meaning bad, yes it is. But that would be call a "Sad truth" which, in my honest opinion, has less merit because it focuses more on the emotional side then the realistic side.

12:34 Wait a minute, I notice a big flaw about the Crocodile Attack QTE. The seen shows the Cop trying to prevent the Croc from opening his mouth (hence the QTE for it), but truth be told he wouldn't have this problem. Fun fact, while Croc's have powerful muscles to close there Jaws, there muscles that open there Jaws however are extremely week. So week in fact that you can just put a rubber band over the snout to prevent the Jaws from opening. Unless the cop had the strength of Spongebob, he would not have any problem keeping that Croc's mouth closed.

Other reviewers have been just as critical as Joe-- Frankie1080p on PC also was but those three most definitely been bought. Videogamer tv dot com have been really negative of it too. So many KZbinrs also been promoting Hardline so many are rotten it seems. Angry Joe and Frankie1080p only ones that actually been honest.

ShadeUsher Nope. In alot of those sites, a 5 is mediocre (average). A 6 is slightly above average. 7-8 is a solid/good, and a 9-10 is excellent. In the case of IGN and Gamespot, It is clearly stated that a 5 is a mediocre score

GAME IDEA!: Cop RPG with character creation and unique dialogue options. You can be a good cop or a crooked cop, whatever you want. You can be a beat cop, a motorcycle cop, a detective, or maybe a member of the swat team. You get a partner, or maybe you're a K9 unit! You can patrol around, respond to calls, take down crack dens, but you have to get legitimate evidence in order to bust a drug dealer. Like a cop simulator basically, but with RPG elements and some sort of karma system.
