I did enjoy playing her as a hero, but I just wished they added other hero ships instead because Tallie was only in TLJ for 5 seconds whereas, there was a bunch of other hero ships they could've added from other eras that were main characters or just had more screentime.

The thing is this game was fun but I had to stop playing since the modes I liked (Galactic/Starfighter Assault) stopped getting support in favor of a mode I really got sick of fast (Supremacy) , that mixed with the lack of immersion just killed the game for me. I'm really happy people are still playing and enjoying the game though.

But it is still sub-par to OG Battlefront 2's space modes, especially now with BF3 Legacy's Orbital Assault being a thing. Dunno why but I still absolutely despise what they've done with the original Battlefront formula, changing it from "Drive/fly whatever you like and do whatever you want" to "NO! You must do this and this to get points to play this class. Because vehicles arent vehicles anymore but classes."

@@waldotheranger3987 I was surprised that we didn't get a death star assault map. My guess is they where struggling to find a way to make it engaging, but not boring or unfair. I hated BF 2015s way of doing it because you where literally flying a stuiped obstacle course with no rhyme or reason while little bitch tie fighters shot at you from above. Ove course it didn't matter that the Ties could shoot you from above, because if you hit the ability recharge time reduction token, then you'd have infinite health because your invincibility shield ability would finish recharging at the exact time it ended. Which ment that ties would have to focus one target and try to get a little damge in the milliseconds before the pilot reactivated his shields. So playing as the Empire was pretty boring and frustrating. But from the Rebel's side it was even more infuriating, you got chosen at random to do the trench run, which was a infuriating obstacle course. As a person who rarly playe the starfighter modes it was nearly impossible to get through with out crashing, but besides having to devote your attention to the trench you'd also be constantly button mashing every 8 seconds to reactivate your shields so you didn't hmget immediately lasered and killed by the entire enemy team.

You can shoot your missiles without locking on if you do double click the shoot button for missiles (this is good for when you’re attacking objectives as it’s much quicker than locking on)

Flying in these starfighters with full control and no lock on aiming, taking skill to shoot and dodge is exactly the starfighter experience ive always wanted, I hope the next battlefront keeps this gameplay but adds it to more modes cause this was such fun. Can't believe they didn't add them to Scarif map!

In video games, I have trouble moving/aiming in more than one dimension, so piloting and shooting aren't things I do well. In Starfighter Assault, I can destroy fixed targets and bots that don't shoot back, but I can't survive versus real players, so I don't have much fun. In Galaxy Assault, I can provide support to my teammates by using a Heavy for area denial or an Officer for healing or turrets. There really isn't a similar role for me in Starfighter Assault. I'd be happy to play as a wing man, but that would still require me to be able to match movements with another player. Perhaps what might be useful to me would be an automatic formation-flying mode where the game kept me close to a teammate but away from obstacles and let me just concentrate on aiming.

Oh good, I played some more Starfighter Assault not too long ago myself and realized that the ships, especially the heroes, were designed quite well and fairly unique. My only real complaint about the mode is probably that just about every objective was to shoot a big target X amount of times and hope you don't get shot down. Otherwise I think the heroes are all fascinating in their various play styles and strengths.

Clarification, DICE DIDN'T CREATE STAR FIGHTER ASSAULT Criterion did, this is why you see Criterion's name on the opening titles for the games boot up sequence. They did all of the coding and design for the gamemode's systems. Dice only worked on the visuals of the mode and the ships. This is why theres been so little done on the mode. Dice simply doesn't have the programmers with the correct skills in order to update the game mode with new Ships or maps. I wouldn't be susurprised if it where revealed that Criterion made the updates for the mode before the game even released and they simply released them on sceduale with the movies.

I think the main Problem of this Mode is that they didnt deliver what Fans wanted. They asked for Space Battles yes, but they wanted Space battles like Classic BF2 where you could enter an enemy Ship and start in your own Hangar

Playing Starfighter Assault in first person is one of the best experiences to be in the game. However, if you do play in first person, you can't see anything around you & will crash into something in seconds. If Project Maverick is a Starfighter game, they need to make first person better. Even just making it only you & the enemy ships would make it a thousand times better, so you won't have to worry about crashing into asteroids or other objects
