Whenever I play Starfighter Assault, I always play in first person, same with the Starfighters in GA. It's just way more fun and feels more real. Not to mention doing tricks looks cooler

It has a Of getting used to since you don’t get to see that much of the enviroment so you are more likely to crash. But it’s easier to aim and it makes it more immersive

Starfighter Assault was my favorite mode when the game launched, and it's a goddamn shame that it got next to nothing in terms of updates. Mechanically, it's a lot deeper than you'd think, but visually, it's freaking beautiful. I wish the devs could have done more to add to it. I personally find it easier to play in first person. You know exactly what direction your ship is moving since the camera view matches where you're headed at all times. It makes flying through small spaces and around corners easier (once you've learned the shape of your ship), which can set you up to force chasing opponents to match your flight skills, or give you the chance to turn the tables. I'm extremely excited that Squadrons is sticking to first person as well, and with the improvements to ship control, I have a feeling I'll be trying some pretty advanced maneuvers.

The docking bay room on zeffo with the kx security droid says “zeffo” in aurobesh Also, if you go through that shortcut (where you pushed cere to with the box) there is a sign that say’s “this area is off-limits” and “no selling or trading” That’s the same sign that bd1 can scan after you kill the first stormtroopers on that planet There are also some unmovable boxes labeled “canvas” There was also an eviction notice that bd1 can scan that actually says “eviction notice” at the top, that’s all I could translate anyways Another sign read’s “restricted” and “no public access” I found it on a ledge in the turbine facility At the entrance of the turbine facility is a sign that says pointing to the turbine facility

Not only do I only fly in 1st person, but I'm so good at it that I will do the wild twirls and chain killing thing you see in the movies. I love being in a TIE Fighter especially. In case you aren't aware, if you hold the L1 (LB) trigger, you can freely look around in your ship. You always could since launch in both this game and BF1

Ever since I heard Squadrons was going to be first-person only, I've only been playing my SFA games in first-person. I expected it to be a little difficult at first, which it was, but the learning curve wasn't nearly as steep as I thought it would be. Now, there's only a slight dropoff in efficiency for me. So I'm definitely warming up to the idea. And I'm sure eventually when Squadrons comes out, it'll be enough to convince to go out and buy a VR headset.

People often criticize the game mode because fights end up being "a loop of chasing each other constantly", but that's a matter of skill thing. If you can learn how to maneuver and use cover like debris and, sun glare, the smoke screens created by explosions, etc., Starfighter Assault can really look like starfighter scenes from the movies and shows.
