Hello i am a little lost here : I saw in a video (was for SRU) that a player did that it is possible to supply units with trucks or for instance planes or even ships with some transport ships. What is the difference with the strategic supply you described here (dépôts, town, infrastructure,...)?
@chrisbattlegoat5 ай бұрын
It's mostly the same. It could best be described as "the level of supply in the area surrounding a unit to other units is always 100%". So a tank in a hex adjacent to a supply truck will starting taking some of the cargo carried by the supply truck and turn it into ammo and/or fuel as needed, as long as the supply truck still has any cargo. Units with cargo capacity will fill up with goods as soon as they are deployed. When they are in supplied territory they will refill that cargo. If you want to see it in action, start as the US, run time at normal speed, deploy a big transport ship, get into the popup and watch it's supply value change. For planes it's similar. Drive a land unit out somewhere middle of nowhere (northern Canada for example) until it runs out of gas. Send a supply plane like a C-130 or C-17 to fly over it. The plane will "drop supplies" to that land unit and get it moving again.

@@chrisbattlegoat thanks Chris, so the best way to use them is when you are far away any source of supply like an invasion in ennemy territory for instance (and particularly in ennemy territory that is not near your own territory where you have zero source of supply) if i good understood

@@alaindufleit8666 Yes, that's correct.

All great features! As realism makes this game excel, I was thinking of an idea for internal immigration inside a country. Maybe a way to look at different ethnic groups in the country and where they came from, religion like a census and based on the influx it can change a countries religion, race, cultures. Also create sub groups within the country based on subgroups beliefs and as the government/ supreme leader take down those militarily or by putting laws to tackle subgroups. would be nice and allowing deportations of citizens as well. As in the game Rome when you conquer a city/annex you can choose what you would like to do with the remaining population by either slavery (to drive economy) , kill , join the country, or exile the population from land you annexed would be a realistic feature.

Hi Chris or any one. Where can I find the pdf manual in my steam folder? I've searched everywhere but can't find it. Thanks

A manual was not created for SR2030.

Always thought you missed an important part of oil production; Refineries. Easy to target, hard to defend and keep running, and hard to build. WWII Germany could take all the oil supply but won't benefit without refineries to make the fuel needed for the war machine.

We've seen a lot of interesting suggestions to expand the resource model - refineries, steel making, more resources, etc. Great ideas but they do add a lot of complexity to an already complex game mechanic, and that's always a concern for gameplay. Plus it would be a big change not just to the engine and UI, but also require a lot of content creation work to update maps and sandboxes.

SR2030 feels like a 1.5 over 2012/2020 and not a 2.0 I get it that you updated the engine and that is a needed and good fundations for things to come. but if I have to say one thing this game is lacking, since 2010, it is diplomacy. no option to form EU or alike? meeehhh
@BattleGoat7 ай бұрын
While we haven't been able to add "diplomatic alliances" directly, SR2030 has had a lot of new diplomatic features added to the engine. As well as the ability trade land through battlezones and colony trades, there's a much more detailed set of relationships for sharing information and other specialized treaties. There's also the new sanctions/embargoes system that adds a lot of gameplay choices, and the new engine features for coups and rebellions. So definitely a lot of new things under the hood, many of which come directly from our player suggestions.
