Just because the western age of consent is 18, it doesn’t make marrying someone under 18 immoral especially 1400 years ago. You cannot compare a liberal law that doesn’t even follow Gods order in 2022 to a law in the 600s. You won’t find ANYONE in the 600s shaming the prophet for marrying Aisha. God never said that it was immoral in the Quran, Bible, Torah, nor do scientist and historian find it immoral. Back in the 1940s people In the west Got married at 11,12,13,14, and 15…now just imagine how it was 1300 years ago. Your opinion does not matter when it comes to logic.

This indicates the year 610, when the Prophet started to receive the revelation and this then shows that Aisha was at least 5, 6 or 7 that day and that she was at least 17 or 18 when she married the Prophet in Medina. - Google And also “In Ancient Rome, it was very common for girls to marry and have children shortly after the onset of puberty. In the 12th century A.D. “Gratian”: the influential founder of Canon law in medieval Europe, accepted age of puberty for marriage to be between 12 and 14 but acknowledged consent to be meaningful if the children were older than 7, this was worldwide, not only Saudi Arabia btw.

@@simplyariixo children can't consent, like we said, just because something is stated to be allowed doesn't mean it was a common practice and or okay to act upon. The canon law accepted it, doesn't mean it was endorsed, Muhammad slept with 6 year old Aisha in which he stated God endorsed him to. Most women during those ages married late teens early 20s. There's nowhere that says 7 consent was meaningful since 7 year olds can't consent. Stop trying to justify the man who lied and was a false prophet

they started living together at the age of 9 years old, you dont know if they had sex or not and aisha spoke only good about the prophet and said he never forced her to do something or hit her or got loud once in there whole marriage. there is a reason behind the marrage and it is that aisha could know the prophet very well and give information about him long after the prophets death. She told the most hadeeth which are the saying and doings of the prophet mohammah peace and belessing be upon him the best model and historical hero and the most followed and respected man in history. dont talk without knowing about him learn more. You will be accountable for what you say wihtout knowledge in the afterlife. His marriage was not an issue until the 20th century people changed their mind and started thinking diffrently and women need much longer to be ready to marry, backthen it was very popular and aisha was even already engaged to another man who had a similar age as the prophet. It is not a fundemental belief in islam and in fact many people i know dont belive that marriage took place at that age. there are other hadeeths that describe the marriage beeing at the age of 16 years old and some say 9 years old cant be true because the age of people was not even counted backthem people counted by using historical events that took place and started counting their age from how far it dates back because they didnt have calenders. It is a serious topic and cant be talked about like this.

Thanks for explaining!! But only one thing: a girl who was raped/molested is NOT dirty and guilty!!! Those things only apply to the rapist. And she too can become a powerful, strong woman! Yes, experience such horror can cause tremendous damage. But it doesn't taka away her dignity and strength. Society, who treats her differently and doesn't help her overcome the trauma does.

The age of marriage differed from time to time, and people did not agree that the legal age should be eighteen, and I will give you an example of that. Ibn Ishaq's "Sirat Rasul Allah": Hagiographer and historian Ibn Ishaq's biography of Muhammad "Sirat Rasul Allah" includes a list of the names of all who accepted Islam in its first year of declaration (610 AD), and this list includes a mention of "Abu Bakr's little girl Aisha". If we are to believe that Aisha was truly 6 either 622 or 624 AD, she wouldn't have even been born in 610 AD. This piece of evidence isn't as conclusive and decisive as Asma's age, but it further confirms it by stating how Aisha was a "little girl" in 610 AD which is in line with her birthday being 605-604 AD according to calculations based on Asma's age. "

The age of consent in the US at the 19th century was 10 years old in most states and 7 at Delaware, and we won't teach them how should their society should function. 3. Before the first wave of feminism in early 1900's the age of Aisha was never used by critics even the most uncharitable ones, Think about it if this was something worthy of criticism why that argument wasn't used prior to modernity ? 4. Aisha grew up to be a Scholar, Jurist, Leader even in military at one point, she alone narrated more than 3000 hadith as she is the second highest transmitter of hadith, she is to Islam is like Peter or John to Christianity, so far that doesn't show any harm on her in fact she was benefited by her marriage and benefited the Muslim world, if it wasn't for her marriage she would have no impact or name in history. 5. Quran 33:28-29 gave the wives of the prophet including Aisha a second choice to remain with him in marriage or leave if they wanted and she decided to remain married, she was around 15 at this point, So why the "abused" wife deciding to remain with her husband ?

Women who have been raped can still be empowered and can accomplish great things. Doing good in the world is not proof that one has not been sexually abused. Being raped does not make one dirty. , first of all, Aisha's parents were very great friends with The Prophet (swt) and were very respectful people - they wouldn't put her in such a 'horrific' situation u claim it to be. The Prophet (swt) didnt touch her or show any intimacy/adult interactions whatsoever until she was of the correct age. We dont even know if she was actually 9, most historians/muslim scholars are studying that period of time and are revealing that she could have been 16-19 when she married him; again, history and exact dates are quite hard to unravel, especially when none of this is written in the Qur'an - we moreso rely on hadiths. Second of all, he treated her with the utmost respect, it was a beautiful relationship, unlike anything you'd see today. Thirdly, Aisha loved him back very much too, she also became a very intelligent woman and was very happy. If this was such a 'crime' would she be that happy? And also, religion is not to be mixed with culture. But In that time you know societal norms, there was no set age for marriage, as long as both partners were content with the ongoing of the marriage.

Marriage is a custom between 2 consenting adults..adults marrying children is not right, the child is powerless and cannot because of their age and lack of understanding make an informed decision. This is a a very weak explanation. As for the question of "why", the reasoning is circular. You cannot use the alleged truth of any religious text to try and prove the truth of that religious text. Ironically the animator draws an almost perfect circle at the 1:35 mark trying to explain this. Next, that Aisha was not mentally damaged does not vindicate the marriage. This cannot be a standard for determining molestation as not all abuse victims are outwardly damaged. The issue here rather centres on consent, and the question of whether a 9 year old can reasonably consent to marriage with a 50+ year old. Moving on, the point about urf is not decisive. Many cultural traditions are incorrect, unethical and ignorant (e.g. slavery). Just because everyone else did it back in that day and age does not mean its ok. Especially when its the prophet of Islam who is supposed to be the perfect example for mankind. Finally, notice that the issue of sexual intercourse is not addressed at all. Aisha was according to many (if not the majority) of sources, only 9 years old and prepubescent when the prophet had sex with her. Is this also right conduct? I have been looking at this stuff for 10 years and as is usually the case with Islamic apologists trying to tackle this topic all the real hard work is left undone, and what we do get is a lot of arguments with as many holes as swiss cheese.

So you see,the prophet SAW was not interested in consumation of marriage but Abubakar was.Parents care about their childrens more than anyone.So if the parents of Aisha RA had no problem by giving their dauther Aisha RA to the Prophet,then why you people have a problem? Herman-Giddens found evidence for early onset puberty in the 1980s, she concluded that girls were developing quicker in MODERN times. In other words, 1400 years ago girls were maturing normally. I'm not interested in 'harsh desert climates' - do you have any evidence that this produces mature and emotionally intelligent persons? Frankly, I don't care if Aisha was a genius with an IQ of 200, she is still a child of 9 years old and unable to give consent to being married to a 50+ year old for the rest of her life. I'm also not interested in what Aisha's parents did, some parents do horrible things and sell their children for money or give them away to cult leaders. So I ask again, is sexual intercourse with a 9 year old decent conduct and should we also follow the prophets actions?

We only need to use the Quran that is devinly protected to know if the Hadith is correct that the last messanger pbuh married a child! It states in the Quran that a "man" can only marry a women!! Those who say Muhammed pbuh married a child before she became a "women" will no doubt answer for it on Judgment Day including Muslims who believe in this Hadith. This Hadith is in conflict with Allah swt command which can only mean one thing. Furthermore the Hadith is not devinly protected (from change) the Quran is and Allah swt command in the Quran clearly states you can only marry Women. She was 9. Accept it please. It is said that Aisha (RA) went on to live for 47 more years after the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) passed away. And we are also told that she passed away at the age of 66. So if you minus 66 from 47, you get 19. BUT this is not the age she got married in, instead this was her age when the Prophet (PBUH) passed away. And, we are also told that she was able to live with the Prophet (PBUH) for 10 years. So if you subtract 19 from 10, you get 9. So, Aisha (RA) was 9 when she got married to our Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). But ofcourse, we are no one judge. Aisha (RA) was very happy with the marriage and this was Allah Ta'lah's plan, so we are no one to say anything in this matter.

If "children" are not meant to create life, why are they capable of it at such a young age? Societal values are subjective, but the most objective way to determine what can and cannot be done is through nature. And nature dictates when a human being or any animal can procreate, which begins as young as the ages of 8-15 for boys and girls. To add on to that, different societies have different standards for when relationships/marriage are appropriate. Here in the west, you find children as young as 5 being encouraged to date, and sexual relations are encourage as young as 10 onwards, while the appropriate age for marriage is being considered 25-30. Again, it's all subjective. Elsewhere in the world, it is normal to get married as young as 15 or 16, or even younger. Looking at different time periods, it was normal to marry people 10 or 20 years older than you in the west a hundred years ago. So to conclude, its not fair to judge when and how people live their lives and what their standards are as a culture or place because it is incredibly subjective. What is considered normal now will not be in a hundred years, or even fifty. If you want to see what is objectively the standard, refer back to my first sentence.

My belief for why "some" certainly not all, children as young as 8-10 may be able to concieve a child, is pure survival reasons, however that would be between 2 children of similar age, not of some grown man or woman to concieve with that child.

there is no adoption in Islam, read the Quran. it is written in there you can't adopt someone or make them your son if you havent birthed them unless they are a step child, however in case of a step child , in Islam the original birthing father is responsible for that child and paying its expenses and making sure to provide for it same as child support. He wasn't his son and she was a widow so he married her because of that because she was widowed. if you are not related by blood then you can't make someone your son or brother. same way your mother is the one who birthed you and your father is the one whom impregnated your mother,

As he could not change a practice of society until he received Divine revelation. Without a moment’s hesitation, he applies his knowledge (of the present) to the historical information and measures the historical information by the things he has observed with his own eyes, although the difference between the two is great. Consequently, he falls into an abyss of error." ( Diwan al-Mubtada’ wa al-Khabr p. 24-26 ) 2) What is history? Early marriage is practiced all over the world, regardless of caste or creed. Historically there is no wonder in that. ✅"In fact, until the mid 1960s, the legal age of consent in Delaware was 7 (Kling, 1965: 216). So a 50 year old man could legally have sexual intercourse with a 7 year old boy or girl.” (Anthony Joseph Paul Cortese , Opposing Hate , page 85) ✅The 1921 census report shows the horror of the previous situation in India. According to it, 612 of the Hindu widows were under the age of one year. They can say and understand what adults can say and understand. They are able to know all the secrets of the tongue, which are the only secrets they need to know. And this helps us to explain why the *Catholic Church designated age seven as the age at which one was assumed to know the difference between right and wrong, the age of reason.* It also helps us to explain why, until the seventeenth century, the words used to denote young males could refer to men of thirty, forty, or fifty, for there was no word-in French, German, or English-for a young male between the ages of seven and sixteen. The word child expressed kinship, not an age. But most of all, the oralism of the Middle Ages helps us to explain why there were no primary schools. For where biology determines communication competence, there is no need for such schools…The medieval way of learning is the way of the oralist; it occurs essentially through apprenticeship and service-what we would call “on-the-job training.” Such schools as existed were characterized by a “lack of gradation in the curricula according to the difficulty of the subject matter, the simultaneity with which subjects were taught, the mixing of the ages, and the liberty of the pupils.” If a medieval child got to school, he would have begun as late as age ten, probably later. He would have lived on his own in lodgings in the town, far from his family. It would have been common for him to find in his class adults of all ages, and he would not have perceived himself as different from them. He certainly would not have found any correspondence between the ages of students and what they studied." The Western view of childhood, where children do not commit violence and are asexual, has been challenged by studies of children that show them learning to use weapons or being depicted in sexual poses...What is clear is that *we cannot simply transpose our view of childhood directly onto the past.”* ( Mary Lewis, The Bioarchaeology of Children: Perspectives from Biological and Forensic Anthropology p. 4 ) 4) Those who say nonsense without knowing any of this are just idiots. They would refer to a girl's age as if she was born the moment she hit puberty. So it is unknown if her age was regarded in that sense or if she was really that age. The stronger opinion is that she was actually around 15-20 years old because in a recording it says she was about 10 years younger than her elder sister and that she married him when her elder sister was about 29 years old.

In an official document published in an official US website published by the National Library of Medicine, they wrote in the document that in 1899, the age of sexual consent in some American jurisdictions was 9 years. It has ranged from 7 to 21 years and at present the range is from 11 to 18 years. She wasn’t 6 or 9. Historically it’s inaccurate and the Hadith is daeef considering that she was 18-21 years old at the time of her marriage. Also it doesn’t make sense when you consider that the Phrophet Muhammad SAW was looking for a wife to take care of the home and his many children, not really a love marriage. Doesn’t make any sense for a child to take care of other children and do the home tasks. In fact consider this: -Ayesha was born 605 ad -Her marriage to the phrophet was 624 ad - She was orginally engaged to someone else 2 years prior and if you believe in this nonsense of she was 6 or 9 during her marriage, then that would mean she was 4 or 7 during that time-which makes no sense at all. Folks study your HISTORY not just Hadith that may have been altered to politics, the Quran is the truth but hadiths can be inaccurate despite its strong chain.

Aisha herself had no problem with it,her parents had no problems with it,his(pbuh) companions had no problem with it,his enemies had no problem with it,the whole arabia had no problem with it,The whole world from 7th century to late 20th century had no problem with it. Also the climate of Arabia was very very hot thats why at that time girls reached puberity at a very young age.Same was happened in Asia as well. PROPHET MOHAMMED WAS NOT A PEDOPHILE: A Pedophile is a person who has sexual orientation towards a child.According to Biology,”a child is a young human being below the age of puberity or below the legal age of majority”So the Islamic prophet was not a pedophile according to modern definition,because Aisha was not a child but a woman as per her own testimony.So the claim of Islamic Prophet being pedophile falls under the ground. Aisha grew up to be a Scholar, Jurist, Leader even in military at one point, she alone narrated more than 3000 hadith as she is the second highest transmitter of hadith, she is to Islam is like Peter or John to Christianity, so far that doesn't show any harm on her in fact she was benefited by her marriage and benefited the Muslim world, if it wasn't for her marriage she would have no impact or name in history. 5. Quran 33:28-29 gave the wives of the prophet including Aisha a second choice to remain with him in marriage or leave if they wanted and she decided to remain married, she was around 15 at this point, So why the "abused" wife deciding to remain with her husband? this Hadith clearly shows Aisha had hit puberty…and was a women according to biology. Bukhari 476 Narrated `Aisha: (the wife of the Prophet) I had seen my parents following Islam since I attained the age of puberty…. Not a day passed but the Prophet (ﷺ) visited us, both in the mornings and evenings. My father Abu Bakr thought of building a mosque in the courtyard of his house and he did so. He used to pray and recite the Qur'an in it. The pagan women and their children used to stand by him and look at him with surprise. Abu Bakr was a Softhearted person and could not help weeping while reciting the Qur'an. The chiefs of the Quraish pagans became afraid of that (i.e. that their children and women might be affected by the recitation of Qur'an). This Hadith shows that aisha and prophet were in Mecca when she had hit puberty… because quraish is a tribe in Mecca and they were scared of the Quran. Aisha and prophet complete marriage happen in the city of madina in the first year they moved to madina from mecca.

The `Iddah of Those in Menopause and Those Who do not have Menses Allah the Exalted clarifies the waiting period of the woman in menopause. And that is the one whose menstruation has stopped due to her older age. Her `Iddah is three months instead of the three monthly cycles for those who menstruate, which is based upon the Ayah in (Surat) Al-Baqarah. [see 2:228] The same for the young, who have not reached the years of menstruation. Their `Iddah is three months like those in menopause. This is the meaning of His saying. Tafsir Ibn Kathir, Dar Taybah, vol.8 p.149

@@extrastout1741 🤦 this again. Tafseer writer are not word of God. I have used words of God from the Quran to refute your claim. Did ibn Kathir have any medical knowledge? Did he learn and study medical science and human body? There is a perfect place where women doesn’t have her period and she is an adult where this verse perfectly fits. But you want to ignore that because of your stupid bias towards Islam. Quran 65:4 “And those who no longer expect menstruation among your women - if you doubt, then their period is three months, and [also for] those who have not menstruated. And for those who are pregnant, their term is until they give birth. And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him of his matter ease” This verse alone clearly refute your point. First the word for women is use “nisa” which mean women not girls who has not hit puberty. This verse is saying that women who doesn’t have menses has to wait 3 months after their divorce to get married again so if she is pregnant then they will know who the father is. Now why does this verse say that they have to wait 3 months when girls who has not hit puberty medically can’t get pregnant. 🤔That’s is because the verse is talking about grown women who has hit puberty but for some reason they don’t have their menses. Medically there are many reason women can’t have or miss their menses such as stress, exercise, gain a lot of weight or losing lot of weight suddenly, extreme exercises, putting restrictions on your calories, hormone imbalance, pregnancy or breast feeding. 🤣 It is funny that you have to go to divorce verse to show men can marry and consummate the marriage with girls who has not hit puberty. In Islam you are not allowed to consummate the marriage with girls who has not hit puberty.

We only need to use the Quran that is devinly protected to know if the Hadith is correct that the last messanger pbuh married a child! It states in the Quran that a "man" can only marry a women!! Those who say Muhammed pbuh married a child before she became a "women" will no doubt answer for it on Judgment Day including Muslims who believe in this Hadith. This Hadith is in conflict with Allah swt command which can only mean one thing. Furthermore the Hadith is not devinly protected (from change) the Quran is and Allah swt command in the Quran clearly states you can only marry Women. So we know without doubt that Allah's swt most beloved prothet married a women. The Quran sits in judgment over any Hadith when there is doubt or the Hadith is in conflict with the Quran. Allah swt the king of kings knows the best!

@@Durray13 Dear friend, there is the only hadith that was narrated from Ayesha herself. However, in many sources, the Asma and Ayesha age gap and the time of Asma birth and death can be obtained. The quote from Ayesha herself is not valid. The sources contradict this is also very strong.
