The battle of Kursk has fascinated me ever since I was a young teen and first read of this battle. I'm very intrigued by your new war-game book!

Mike, I'm what gaming calls a 'Crafter' and you clearly are my favourite sort of resource :) I will be picking up Kursk in a couple of days when my allowance comes in :) I can't say enough for your games. Can I ask for an Italian campaign book next? Or maybe something from the jungles of Burma. I have many of your WW2 items so far.

Thanks for the feedback and your support. I might well get round to a WW2 Italy based game at some point but the list is rather long so cannot make any immediate promises. It’s always good to hear what people are interested in though as it does help when I’m planning future games.

Just bought 2 more of your books last week, well as soon as this one shows its face on Amazon it will be added to the collection. Thanks Mike keep them coming.

Great stuff Mike. I was distracted by “real life” earlier this week - so now is the time to watch all your Battles of Kursk videos. 😀👍

I take copies to FedEx Office and have them spiral bound for about $5.

Have you ever considered a non land based game ? Such as WW1 air dogfighting or a sea battle in WW1 or WW2 ? Given your awesome creativity, it would be cool to see what you could do.
@mikelambosolitairebookgames7 ай бұрын
Yes, but not managed to find the right system yet. Hopefully it’ll click soon!

Have you considered a ring binder-style for your books to ensure flatness of the maps? It seems to me that might be quite good.
@mikelambosolitairebookgames6 ай бұрын
Yes, but unfortunately Amazon do not offer such a format despite me asking them to consider it. If it becomes possible I’d go for it in an instant.

Sounds like it also has elements from Vimy Ridge.

Looks great Mike, I own most of your other books. I rate them all, but the newer WW2 ones are slightly more slick. Still all good. Just an Idea for you (not that you need it) a few themes i think would be good would be Rorkes Drift playing as the British. Arnhem playing as British paras. And Maybe one set in Stalingrad were you play a Russian sniper team. Just some ideas. Keep up the amazing work.

Excuse me, I'm a newbie. Does that mean the counters are not attached to the book, and I need to print the counters and stick to thick cards?
@mikelambosolitairebookgames5 ай бұрын
Hi. The counters are printed on the final page of the book, so that they can be cut out without destroying the book. It is recommended that the counters are stuck to thin card. In addition, the counter sheet can be downloaded from BoardGameGeek in the Files section for this game. Thanks. Mike boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/421470/battles-of-kursk-a-solitaire-wargame/files

Found this book quite interesting. Thanks for the great video. Can you recommend a good order to buy the books? From novice to advanced? Maybe a video you can do given the amount of book under you name. 😊
@mikelambosolitairebookgames6 ай бұрын
I have a couple of those videos. One on my first six Wargames and one on my first 11 games. However, I plan to do a new one very soon on all my Wargames to date, so watch out for that. Cheers.

@@mikelambosolitairebookgames silly me for not checking your videos. Will watch those for sure. Also, if we want to support you the most. Which platform do we use to buy digital or physical books?
@mikelambosolitairebookgames6 ай бұрын
@@sebastianruizromo637 Thank you! Amazon is the best place to buy the physical game. The download versions are on Wargame Vault (.com) and that is also good for me. Thanks again.

Nice video.. any thoughts to doing a double page map layout?
@mikelambosolitairebookgames6 ай бұрын
I have thought about it but of course I’d then lose the ability to have the charts on display.
@pedrowayne46756 ай бұрын
Alright… hear me out.. 😅..just spitballing here.. a trifold book! 🤓.. or a loose chart PDF .. or two books.. one for charts, one for maps.. okay, last thought.. a static ai where the turn sequences don’t change from map to map and the rules are the rules alleviating the need for tables on every map and perhaps there is just a player aid card with the game flow
@mikelambosolitairebookgames6 ай бұрын
Some great ideas here. Tri-fold is not possible on Amazon publishing. I do PDF versions so any departure from the traditional book style I use would need to be download only on WGV. It’s a possibility if I ever thought of a game which needed larger maps. Cheers.
