ABOUT BATTLESTAR GALACTICA:
The original series on which the SyFy Channel phenomenon was based, "Battlestar Galactica" ran for a single season from 1978 to 1979. Created by Glen A. Larson and starring Richard Hatch and Lorne Greene, "Battlestar Galactica" follows the last surviving warship after a devastating space war. The crew of the Galactica goes in search of the legendary "thirteenth tribe of humanity" and its settlement, "Earth," while being pursued by warrior robots called Cylons.

RIP Apollo you were a great warrior and a great captain. Starbuck miss you alot and others from Battlestar Galactica members and fans. I was almost 12 year old when I was watching Battlestar Galactica in 1978. I am still a big fan of Battlestar Galactica more than Buck Rogers in the 25th century. Apollo you were ready to launched to the sky.

Apollo and Starbuck were a cross between the Bobsey twins and two peas in a pod. You see one, and the other was near by.. They were always there for each other. RIP Captain Apollo ! Miss you :-( Keep on defending the Galactica and others from those frakkin' cylons, Starbuck !

Universal Television along with Glen A. Larson’s production company made the series and it’s 1980 follow-up. They merged with NBC twenty years ago and have been known as NBCUniversal ever since. ABC indeed did bring the series to the screen, having commissioned Larson’s creation from Universal Studios in 1977 in the primary stages of conceptual development. Universal are the owners of the franchise and all it’s associated elements.
