@@greyd.99xsome Same here. Even though it's been a while since I've watched the 2004 "Battlestar Galactica" reboot. I still kinda wished that the 2004 reboot had friendly alien allies that could've have helped Humanity in their war against the tyranny of the Evil Cylon Empire just like in many other Science Fiction shows like Star Trek and Babylon 5 for example.

That's just the way modern warfare is ACTUALLY conducted. During the Afghan and Iraq wars, the US forces fired around 250,000+ bullets per insurgent killed. Most forces simply lay down "suppressing fire" on the enemy's approximate position and will either advance or pullback from the fight. Based on the heat they receive. Because if you are caught in the open, or are in a static marksman position... You're very likely to be exposed and quickly slaughtered.

And from this moment, Battlestar Galactica past from being a science fiction show to be a stupid melodrama, sure, the original Battlestar Galactica had very dramatic and painful moments, but what Moore did with the stupid love triangle between Kara, Anders and Lee was just amateur, childish, Kara facing her own demons it would be a better story than stupid stupid bullshit, hell, even fanfiction writers explored that plotline, facing her demons, her past, instead of always committing the same mistakes over, and over, and over again.
