I just received the Flexispot E7L. The 2 tops are 48x30 and 60x24. It'll be 72x60. Now I'm watching assembly vids - haha.! (maple tops, white frame)

As someone who also has back problems but loves to cook, my dream is to someday have a place where I can use one of these sit/stand desks as a kitchen island. That way I can alternate between sitting and standing to do prep work..plus, my current counters are too low for me and I have to bend just slightly when prepping meals...having them just a little higher would help a lot so I really think if I can ever get into a place with room for it, something like this might make a great island in the kitchen (cable management might be a pain but it's a dream, not a work in progress so not urgent lol) Honestly, I'd love to see some of these companies make something specific for that use case. I'm sure even able-bodied people would use them, but they could be a huge benefit to those of us who are disabled. They would likely work just as they are, but maybe offering a purpose designed top, along with some attachments that are more kitchen oriented could be a future option (I'm just rambling at this point) I've definitely checked out the flexispot a few times. I can't afford one right now, but they do seem to have the best quality and value. Hopefully I'll be able to move dad and I into a place of our own with a mortgage, instead of renting, next year, and then I can more realistically start weighing my options, both for my kitchen island idea and for my setup for my PC.

I spent longer looking for a proper desk setup than I did an actual PC configuration. Not even the Ikea desks fit by build. I needed a desk that could support the weight of a heavy gaming tower, two monitors (one being a 48" LG/UG 4K) peripherals, other stuff, my Switch, etc. Check the max weight limits on these things. Especially if you're looking to bring your PC up off the ground and onto the desk. I'd put mine on the floor but it's a $5k setup and I have carpet and pets that don't mix with hardware. It was for this reason that I returned the Bekant.

I don’t see the e7 pro for 399, that is the price for the non pro version.

Their naming is wildly confusing, but I believe the desk in this video is what they call the “Pro Plus Standing Desk E7,” which is different from the new “E7 Pro” desk. It kind of made sense until they released the newer E7 Pro, but now the old name is just nonsense.

13:10 I would hope they dont change cuz if you want a bigger workplace later on then you can just swap the tabletop in the future. And it's going to save you money.
