The 2"/4"j is exactly that. 2 inch movement by walking, 4 inch by jumping. You don't see the split very often but it does happen.

There are two reasons I know of that would cause a Mech to have more jumping movement than ground. The first is that it mounts Improved Jump Jets which, in Classic, allow a Mech to jump up to its running movement instead of its walking like normal. The second is that it mounts Hardened Armor, which reduces a Mechs running movement in Classic, and its ground movement in Alpha. If the Mech also has the CR special, than Hardened Armor is the culprit.

it's and Urbie... their speedometer says "slow" and "less slow". they also have a shit ton of jump jets for some reason.

It comes from the fact that it has hardened armor. 2 inch movement normal (urbanmechs normally have 4), and 4 inch jump (cause hardened armor does not effect your jump. I believe in alphastrike you receive bonus and penalties for jumping instead of normal movement, so maybe you want to only move 2 inches cause you don't want the (gunnery? TMM?) penalty.

Correct jumping gives a bonus to tmm but also a penalty when firing so there is a trade off.

Urbies typically have stronger jump jets than engine speed hence the the split movement value.

I bought stuff at the Catalyst booth 3 times and didn’t realize they had early force packs. If I’d noticed this one, I might have picked it up. That kneeling one is cool… if he’s got LRMs shouldn’t it have long range capability as well!?

in classic its an mrm 30, so yea no lrm ability in alpha strike, and mrms have accuracy issues in classic, but its still a lot of cluster damage for cheap so (in classic at least)

Still waiting for CGL to restock the Aus market.... I'm at month 9 waiting for 2 salvage box urbanmechs ordered locally, yet, CGL seemingly has so many the are selling them in boxes of 4 now

I think if they are to release all light/small mechs & vehicles, the box should be 5 or 6, not the standard 4, unless its also a lower price!🤔

I don’t mind the price personally. Considering how well the game is doing right now I imagine that’s the case for a huge portion of the customer base (else they’d be forced to charge less, supply and demand). Battletech truly is really affordable compared to other games on the market, can’t play most games for as cheaply as you can play Battletech. Plastics $/mech are also way cheaper than IWM. I’ll take the force pack prices over $12-15+ per single medal mini.

also the kneeling and wide stance should b considerably smaller than the regular standing ones. cgl has kinda irked me with the wide stance mechs being the same size as regular standing ones bc it doesn't make sense!
