This is the best demonstration of putting on a crimp bead that I’ve ever seen in my 10 years of making jewelry

SUCH a great tutorial! Both the audio (your voice) and the video were super clear and easy to follow. Loved the close-ups, which are so essential when it comes to jewelry-making tutorials. Liked, subscribed and saved to my favorites - thank you!!

Watching this video 9 years after it was posted and it is THE best video, showing this process, that I have found. Thank you! ❤

THANK YOU….. The first actual video that showed exactly what to do thank you so much I was doing the process backwards hence adding frustration to a pile of ruined crimp beads!

I have two sizes of crimpers and neither works! The second step of folding over doesn't fold! All it does is open the tube round again, loosening it! Waste of $.
@joeynarciso943 жыл бұрын
Maybe your wire and crimp tube are not the correct sizes ...

That's a great tutorial thanks. I use wire guards and crimp covers which can be a huge pain literally (as I end up pinching myself with the pliers trying to close that blasted crimp cover. But I am seeing more and more of you folks not even using those???

Loved following along with you to perfect my crimp outcome. Kudos to your video taping skills, too. Often the cameras or lighting don't get such a great viewpoint of tiny details. I'm so happy I found you to learn from!

I've watched three random crimp bead videos and learned three different methods. Two versions show the front hole first, one shows the space between the front and back holes, one says do the back first and the front second, and one says do the front first and the back second, and the pro just rolls the pressed crimp bead round and round and round in the front hole. I know less than when I started.

Suppose someone doesn't use wire but something like fishing line(monofiliment),or thread?Can this still be done?
@vadabaker3815 жыл бұрын
I tried the fishing wire but when pressing crimp tube to it, the wire broke every time!
@joeynarciso943 жыл бұрын
What is the reason for using fishing line? Just curious ...

Well how strange is that? The lady did it to perfection? But what about wire guardians??? I have watched many videos from the time I began making crystal jewellery and they al use a wire guardian at each end after the crimp bead??? Hmm …..

The hard part for me is keeping the wires separated in the tube so they’re not crossed, before crimping at the end. I’ve found a smaller crimp tube helps & secures a little tighter too.
@julliana2ify7 жыл бұрын
Happy I came across this video...My tube crimps always break when I crimp them. I use either the micro crimp or the regular crimp pliers...will try again with the crimp tubes after watching this video.

I think I read somewhere that the tube shouldn’t have too much room in it. Is there a general rule? This one looks pretty roomy, but I don’t know.

What if the bead holes are too small to get the cord back through after crimping because you already have one strand passed through the bead before you loop around and try to lace through again?
@joeynarciso943 жыл бұрын
You cannot always re-string the wire back through the beads if they are very small ones. In that case, just snip off flush with the squished crimp tube.
