Converting your pure damage impetus to magic damage using brooch was a downgrade to your damage

That’s not how that works. Brooch only converts normal attack damage to magic, the pure damage from impetus is a separate damage instance kinda like OD and silencer’s orb. Meaning, only the physical damage part got converted to magic
