Hello everyone, I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and got some good deals on Black Friday!
Thank you again for all your support and for subscribing. I will be doing the conclusion of the Thanksgiving video with the hunter next, so not to worry! Stay tuned for the conclusion of that crazy case!
In today's video we will be discussing the case of Patricia MacCallum who lured her husband Christopher out to a camping trip that he had wanted to do for his birthday. On November 16, 2012 the MacCallum's who were living in Medford, Oregon at the time, went to Applegate Creek campground for an overnight trip.
Patricia left, saying it was too cold.. she went back to the next morning to pick Chris up but he wasn't to be found anywhere. She left and didn't report him missing until 3 days later. The deputies immediately started seeing holes in her story..
This is the crazy story of what Patricia MacCallum and her terrible, awful plot.
My thoughts and prayers go out to The family of Christopher, his friends and family and all that knew him🙏🙏
Thank you all for watching, and please consider subscribing if you haven't already, and thank you for all those that have!

These issues in my estimation are based on a few factors, mainly; if divorce can happen as easily as getting married, which it should, and marriage is not for everyone was certain personalities must have their way and being married means a lot of frustration with dealing with another will who wants the scissors in the other drawer. These types of crimes are more of a "I'll show you" decision, narcissism at its worst, then it is simply trying to solve a problem.

Amber's stepsister comes out laughing in this case. She participates in the killing & goes along with the cover story as well. Then she rolls over for the prosecution to get a reduced sentence, & finally, serves 8 of the 16 months imposed because of good behaviour? WOW! isn't she the epitome of a well-behaved girl!

Reminds me of my narc mother who didn't want me to be happy. Several years ago when I was newly married, we visited my parents from PNG where we were living. My parents kept taking us to "scenic" views around Sydney where they lived; really high, precipitous lookouts where it would be easy to slip and fall to your death. At one particular spot my mother tried to distract me while my father and my new husband teetered on the top of a high cliff. My gut instincts kicked in and I immediately got up to go over to them. I had interrupted something awful about to happen. The relief on my father's face was palpable. He was a tool and used to doing what he was told by my mother. I am convinced she told him to dispatch my new husband, and it would be thought of as a terrible accident. Always listen to your gut!

It's ok to regret and learn from any mistakes but you can't dwell on that event as being a "failure". It does take two and there are so many of us who end up divorced when we never thought we would. Everything in our lives happens for a reason. We are meant to learn from our mistakes and evolve into wiser human beings. None of us are born holding a play book but must get our education at times from the school of hard knocks. Not every marriage can last a lifetime no matter how well intentioned both partners are. What I'm saying is if you learned and came out of that marriage a better person it was not a failure. Please don't be too hard on yourself.

If ever there was ever a reason to have and enforce a death penalty, it seems to me this is it. If you can commit such a crime and only get 50 years, and maybe less if you qualify for "good behavior," what is the deterrent for taking a life in such a horrific, premeditated way? With such a penalty, how much is your life worth if someone decides to take it; or, what message does this send to other would-be murderers? Sounds to me like Oregon has beautiful forests but sick laws/juries.

How many years have YOU spent in prison? Do You think a nice quick "painless" death is BETTER than rotting away in confinement until the day you do die? Waking up EACH day facing yourself and what you have done? What kind of MONSTER are You? Or just stupid? I'll never know. "Mourn Not For Us, for we have known the Light. Have looked on Beauty, and lived in Peace. And Loved. Grieve but for those who go Alone, Unwise, to Die in Darkness, and Never See the Sun." - Arthur C. Clark
@RS-vp8jd
@RS-vp8jd 2 жыл бұрын
@@CyanBlackflower My thought is that justice in such a situation, a murder one indictment, should be timely and just. If you take another's life in such a cold-blooded and deliberate way you forfeit your own. Why? Because society, family, and friends need/require a just response for such a loss, for such a horrific crime. Dismissing such an act and trivializing it by giving them a few years in prison say 50 years is to dismiss murder as something less than what it is; the violent and total destruction of a human being. Justice should deter future crime as well as punish the criminal. Justice should not "torture" people. Many of those spending long times in prison get habituated to that kind of life and will commit crimes just to get back into prison or jail. It is hard for me to believe that this would not be true here. A life in prison almost seems like a reward after such an act. How do you rehabilitate evil? Whatever "monster" I am pales into insignificance I think to those who out of "feeling good about not be a monster" release such people back into society to prey on others or to set an example that you can do anything and get away with it, all you have to do is spend 50-years in jail, maybe less with good behavior. WE disagree, but I respect your concern or sense that a person spending 50-years in prison for doing what this woman did is severe punishment. For me, I do not think 50 years or any attempt at "rehabilitation" is appropriate to such a crime. Also, it is nice to spend time with poetry; however, it seems to me you need to spend more time in the real world not the imagined one because that is where these issues exist and those people affected by them are. Hopefully, you do not have someone like the above mentioned woman in your life. In sincerity, we disagree, but the best to you.

Separate, divorce, take a long break or just walk away. Anything but continue to live with an obviously greedy selfish mentally unstable spouse. Jeez... What a horrible betrayal. But having children makes leaving very difficult to do. However, had she somehow gotten away with ending Christopher's life, & not caught, their kids might've been next. She sounds like someone cold & selfish enough to do that, to free herself from all personal commitments & responsibilities. Most of the signs were probably there, too. (Army medical discharge? Possibly because of severe or dangerous mental illness.) (Strange - at 3:00 they look like brother & sister. Not likely but the similarity is striking.)

Bryan your channel is just absolutely awesome! I'm sorry I'm just now finding you. I especially love it that you genuinely care about the people involved in these cases. Listening to you, I can feel your heart and love for people. As a subscriber, I will watch and thumb up everyone of your videos. I also tell my friends to go on and subscribe. Bless you for putting it out there, and please don't change a thing. You are doing a wonderful job. BTW.....I couldn't find the part 2 of the story where the couple from BC and the wife has residue on her hand. Also I agree with your analysis regarding someone who committed suicide and shoots themselves twice. Great job, Bryan. Blessings to you and your family. Love, love, love your channel. Thank you!

A life for a life, Patricia should have gotten life in prison without parole-premeditated murder and willfully desecrating a human corpse, and Amber at least fifty years with a full time served for accessory after the fact and accomplice to commit bodily harm to another human being-that would have been the deal I would have given her, if she refused then seventy five years with no parole until time served.

Oh wow! This is absolutely insane. I will never understand how someone can care more for money than a human life. That's demonic. Very glad the authorities got to the bottom of this and yes ,Patricia was the master mind and the one ( I guess) that actually killed him,but still, the step sister should have gotten a lot more time. She could have saved his life if only she had told what was being planned. I would hold them both equally responsible. God bless his family and friends and prayers for them all.

The wife yes 50 years for sure but the sister in law wasn't involved other than being told the wife was planning this. Honestly if someone told me they were going to kill someone in that situation I don't think I'd believe them either. Yes she should have said something but we don't know the relationship dynamics. Why people think bumping off their spouse (or anyone else) is ever a viable answer?!
