The amount of rng that needs to be on your side to shave any seconds of this game is unreal so i salute anyone still running this 🎉 also my fave res game is it was the first one i beat personally as a kid, its a sin the remake wasn’t true to thd original !

I can just agree with that and same. Started running Haunting Ground recently, but Ecdycis is more the person who eventually got me into doing it for real after planning to run it for 1-2 years or smth now. GL with your stuff and PB's as well ;) My HG times were 2h for Ending A NG and first 38, then 32 m. for NG+ Ending C.

Awesome! Been waiting for smth like this :) And that despite so much of the less than optimal RNG/spawns. Also shows again that runs or PB runs don't always need to die early/be that reset heavy, at least sometimes. Keep it up, Bawk! I'm running Haunting Ground privately atm and went from NG+ Ending C 38 min. to 32 min. recently and a full run took 2h. Hope I can get it down in the future and finally remember all the dang stuff and routes better :')

im sorta glad capcom is patching some of the major glitches in re4 remake. just because retro re games has the feel of needing to run thru the whole game as a gauntlet still, mix in rng like re3 and get a game that still a fun game to speedrun even today. then you can have two catagories the down patched version where players run newgame+ easy with the dipman upgrade, glitching thru the game as fast as possible. and the patched version on professional where its still a gauntlet to run thru with tidbits of rng giving the game longterm speedruning record chasing value as people over the years try to break it like hyrule skip in wind waker. but i feel capsom should reward the speedrunners if they are gonna patch the game. by making 3 month world record bounties, so the record holders by competing to hold a record by a certain deadline get prize money like 20k and something cheeky like an ashley duffle bag. then fix the major section skips while keeping the fun speed optimizations like the duffle bag glitch. then hold another speedrun 3 month tournament to inspire more speed runners to find more major breaks. then patch the game again and hold another tournament, then for about a year of tounamates and bug fixing, then hopefully its a very solid gauntlet speedrun the players have to run thru, hopefully for years until the inevitable and some one breaks the game again but that could take decades of a community which, is a very fun long term problem for a community to cut there teeth on.

Will you ever play one of the best games of the franchise, Re8 village in VR? I didn't like it much and RE8 for me is a 7.5/10, but in VR it's elevated in a way i didn't know it was even possible. On flat i found the factory boring and too long but in VR it was actually scary. Seeing those big robotic guys in their actual size in first person, in the dark made it really enjoyable, probably my favorite part of the game in VR. From my least favorite part, to my favorite. So weird. I even got scared for the first in RE8 when one of them sprung back to life from the wall next to me. And the castle parts were so much creepier in VR. I honestly can't wait for re4 in VR. The game is gonna be even BETTER in VR. I completely loved RE8 in VR. A game that I didn't even like in flat, is one of my favorite games ever. it's still not a re game, just like re7. But it's an amazing horror game in VR.
