This week we load up the boat with live pilchards and venture offshore in search of some of the finest pelagic’s the Florida Keys has to offer. We start out the day on a massive current rip which was holding a significant amount of blackfin tuna. we quickly caught our limit while dodging some aggressive sharks where we eventually made the decision to head home. It’s not uncommon to find birds and floating debris while running offshore so as we made are way closer to home we were lucky enough to find a group birds and scored some mahi-mahi. Eventually we arrived back at the dock safe and sound. To top it all off we did a catch clean and cook while enjoying the company of Stephanie‘s little brother Dominick.

great channel great action. i love the fact that your bleeding the tunas out for better quality. a few years ago i went from bleeding the tunas in my box to bleeding them out in a bucket of seawater. then after they dead place em in the saltwater and ice brine in my box. brine stays much cleaner and the tunas meat is amazing and super fresh keep up the great vids

Love, love, love this channel - thank you for sharing your passion and knowledge of fishing. Having recently been retired due to Covid19, and moving to the Tampa Bay area, I've been wrestling over what type of boat to buy to enjoy my leisure years? Bay boat or deep V Center Console for offshore? Thanks to you, I'm now looking at a hybrid in the mid-20s range and your videos show that it could realistically do both inshore and offshore fishing without sacrificing comfort and/or safety. I've got my eye on a leftover new 2019 Wellcraft 241 that could be had for a killer price - thoughts? I'd have to add a helm VHF radio, trim tabs, and some creature comforts (my wife is a redhead), but otherwise it's loaded and good to go with a brand new 4 stroke 300hp Yamaha. Also, it's only got a single 8' Power Pole, is the second one a necessity? From my research, everybody says to take a single engine boat offshore, besides all the other safety precautions, you should also never turn off your engine for the entire day. Do you also prescribe to that rule of thumb? Thanks again for all your excellent information and I look forward to learning more. BTW, congrats on your engagement!!

Mahi, Dorado, and Dolphin are all the same. I grew up in Miami and never heard anything but Dolphin.

Great video guys. I always show my wife your vids as I also want her by my side when fishing. She does kayak fish with me already and I already feel very lucky about that as I can imagine it will only get easier to convince her when I pick up a boat. So great content, love the fishing. Question, any chance you could of picked up any of those tuna on some topwater plugs? If you could, would be great to see as the top water explosion is as good as it gets! What’s up Kyle! I would look into some older pathfinders. I would imagine you would get the best bang for your buck in the price range. The reels are 5000 penn battles IIs - and the rods are key largo custom rods.
