Whoever recorded this, Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you. You did an excellent job capturing this and how you resisted the temptation to go nuts to get a better video, I'll never know. All of us are grateful tho, truly. Rest in peace Tony Sly. Your music lives in to comfort us all

NO USE are my top five favorite bands. From INCOGNITO in New Red Archives to Hard Rock Bottom on FAT. More Betterness blew me away when it came out. Fast forward to 2002, and I am on tour with my friends Irish Car Bomb and opening for NO USE across Canada with Big Wig and Useless I.D.. My point is that I got to meet my heroes and watch them every night for 3 weeks. Drinking with Dave and Matt after a show in Montreal. Throwing a football with Tony after loading in Regina. Talking with Rory on the ferry to Victoria from Vancouver as the sun sets. My favorite part of that tour is when I found a place to lay down to rest in a deserted balcony of the venue, and NUFAN was sound checking. They played Life Size Mirror and felt it was just for me. I am not a religious person, but at that moment, I thank a higher power for being born and had a "life is amazing" moment. I know that this doesn't resonate well in a comment, but it is something that I will never forget. Tony was quiet, humble , and well mannered. Watching this makes me sad, but seeing all friends come together to honor Mr. Sly shows that there are still a lot of fantastic people in the world. Thanks for reading.

No Use For A Name's songs, crafted by the talented Tony Sly, hold a special place in the hearts of punk rock fans worldwide. Tony Sly was known for his heartfelt lyrics, infectious melodies, and unique voice that resonated with so many. His work with No Use For A Name touched on themes of love, loss, struggle, and introspection, often with a sense of vulnerability that made his songs timeless. Songs like "The Answer is Still No", "Story of a Living", and "Justified Black Eye" showcase his ability to blend catchy punk rock hooks with deeply personal, reflective lyrics. Tony’s songwriting often combined a mix of honesty, humor, and raw emotion, making him an essential figure in the punk scene. After his untimely passing in 2012, his legacy continues through his music, with fans and fellow musicians celebrating his life and work. His influence is felt across the punk rock community, and No Use For A Name’s songs remain a testament to Tony Sly’s talent, creativity, and impact. He may be gone, but his songs continue to inspire and comfort those who listen. Tony Sly’s music will always be remembered as a masterpiece in its own right.

I don't remember the exact year, but I went to the warped tour (maybe 97/98) when they were one of the bands. I can't stress enough how many amazing bands were there, but it was so hot and I was miserable, I just couldn't have a good time! Then about 50-75 feet away from me they were starting their set. I wanna say they started with "redemption song" but that might've been the second one, either way I perked right the fuck up, and they sounded so fucking great!! I'll never forget how quickly they changed my mood, it's damn near impossible because I'm a miserable bastard all the time! There's only one thing that can be said about the band, and the man who touched all our lives... Dicks out for Harambe! Huh... Tony who in the what now?
