interesting fact, before morgana gets dragged down you can see in the background spider lillies foreshadowing her dark turn of event. Spider lillies are historically known to bloom in the depths ofthe netherworld of hell to guide lost souls to their next lives, they symbolize death, goodbyes, and abandoment and bad luck. In japan they are associated as final goodbyes which seems very fitting in this moment, legends has it in japanese culture that these flowers grow wherever people part for good. In old Buddhist writings, the red spider lily is said to guide the dead through samsara, the cycle of rebirth

What makes this work so well is how gameplay mechanics and storytelling are combined for the final stretch. You go from having two separate characters to control (which works well, but can be fiddly), to controlling both characters as one in smooth fashion. It symbolizes their relationship and character development perfectly. It also helps that the game essentially turns into a more traditional Bayonetta experience, with bigger, more bombastic set pieces and the abilities you've come to expect. You're watching Cereza turn into Bayonetta in real time.

So this is the moment when Cereza awaken her Umbra Witche's powers, and that moment she discovered that fear is natural, but you can unleashed your courage when you remember an importabt thing. Her bond with Cheshire has remember her promised, she has the fighting spirit and courage of her father, and she has the love and heart of her mother. That is an important thing when we are scared or against the wall on difficult situations.

Wether or not her father was a lumen she was doomed the moment she made her contract with Madama Butterfly and as seen in Bayo 3 her soul was getting dragged to hell but then Kamiya said we're dumb for thinking she died so what do we know anymore 😅

She probably could've escaped at any time but I think she chose to remain imprisoned for the sake of her child.

So this is how Bayonetta β0 came to be. It was stated in her information in-game that she is called the Indomitable Witch and that her life differed from the first game, and I think this game sums it up in a way. I think after leaving Morgana's home and setting off on her own, to I believe that she ran away from the coven and choose to leave her mother to become stronger no matter how painful that is. With the knowledge of the Umbra teachings with a mix of what she found became who she is once she grew up. I don't think she went to sleep either or even if she reunited with Jeanne.

Makes sense the name of luka. I also thought that if they even need to make a new game, It will be have to be realted to witches sould as all the plot in the regular world is "closed" even singularity now. We still don't know that much about demon pacts and the source of witches, and what happens to their souls as we only saw jeanne getting consumed by alraune. I believe that we can still get a happy ending if we know that their souls are fine or something and uh I never really loved viola but if they introduced her I suppose it's for something.

And Masked Lumen could do his version when you face him. So, I don't know how it works, but it seems that every character that do it, only can activated in one way. I mean, Bayonetta can activate witch time when she evades, meanwhile Jeanne can activate it when do the Moth within. They are just my theories. Noting official.

@@SylveonSS I have indeed and apparently paid much more attention. The only things we know about Madama Butterfly is that she was a human, how she died, that she had a feud with Alraune and that she has a liking for Cereza. That's it. We know even less about the others. You could have actually said something smart like strong witches maybe becoming demons (tho there is no evidence for that and it is rather unlikely since per demonic contract, their souls are forfeit). What would hint for it would be Alraune using Umbran symbols while fighting, which is suspicious, but nothing really convincing. How would you even come to this conclusion? We know of three demons with "Madama" in their name (I doubt it's a type of demon or anything, it's rather symbolistic) and two of them predate humanity. Third one no evidence for having been a witch.

But when origin showed up i actually felt like crying because there was actual meaningful loss like cheshire going to inferno(which i didn't want him yo go ;( ) and Morgana's death.
