Nuggets have come up short in the past due to Jamal Murray not being consistent. But it looks like he's found his touch in the bubble and in the post-season. Battling heads up with Donovan Mitchell has propelled him into a level of focus he's previously not had. Now he and Jokic are firing on all cylinders. Thank you for finally giving the Nuggets some credit. Will people stop saying this is a "shock"? The Nuggets have done it 5 times already, and after two straight wins people still are surprised? People still just sleeping on Denver, as they always have been.
@siukong4 жыл бұрын
There's a reason a 3-1 deficit is almost always a death sentence for a teams chance of winning a series (teams are 13-244 all time when in that hole, barely a 5% success rate). At this level of play it's quite rare for the favorite to play so poorly and the underdog so well 3 games in a row (and despite being incredibly talented, they were still the underdog - hence the 3-1 deficit in the first place). I don't think it's disrespectful of the Nuggets to say this was a 'shock'.

Hey coach, great video again! At 7:54 you said that this was Kawhi's help, but isn't he on the strong side of the ball, so the PG helping was actually correct? in this play I think the big mistake was Montrezl and Lou Will, both were just watching the ball after the pick and roll.

Jokic offense v Davis defense. Unstoppable force v immovable object type of shit right there.
@josephtaylor65454 жыл бұрын
AD has both but his most important contribution is if he can guard Jokic. If so then it means so many defensive opportunities open up because the clippers had no answer so they had to double team consistently. We’ll see if AD can slow him down

@@to3681 Without Duncan or Lowry to be the heart of the team, he chokes. Reminds me, as a Pistons fan, how Billups all of sudden became a choker once the heart of the team, Ben Wallace, left.
@tofo71514 жыл бұрын
@@aidanklobuchar1798 ya I agree with this. As much as we want to make it as so that Kawhi is a cyborg, dude's a human being and the mental part of the game is a big thing. Having no other rock to turn to, Kawhi just prob felt the pressure more than ever. He was forcing shots which is really out of character.

I think Coach mentioned it in an earlier video on the nuggets, but I think Jokic and his weird ability to just tell when his teammates are, or are about to be in a bad situation and bail them out helped a lot. Especially with Murray it is an underrated skill(if you can call it that) he just seems to be wherever Murray needs him to be and to my eyes it helps Murray stay hot once he gets going.

Great work as always, Coach Nick. I'm somewhat of an adopted Nuggets fan as I've been here for about 5yrs now from a non-NBA city, so I'm very happy for the long term Nuggy fans to see this group in the conference finals! Not sure they have the juice to beat the Lakers but it's been an incredible run so far. BUT... As petty as this is, I cannot STAND Marcus Morris and am most happy to see he & the Clippers bow out. Never been a huge hater, but when he did the gunshot thing to the foot in the series against Dallas, thought that was a bit much... Congrats Denver and good luck against the other LA team!
