Sweet of Peter to coax Touker into a happy outcome. Wonderful to see the soft side of the Dragons.

His favourite words are "your very credible". He says that about everybody, even those that he doesn't invest in. Think this is the only episode where he didn't say his favourite phrase

I work in the energy sector. This is a great idea for disengaged customers that just want an easy way to heat their homes. But Touker had a point. There are a LOT of technology firms coming onto the market that are optimising heating that are waaay more competitive. I'd be interested to see where this technology ends up, there are perhaps some use cases for diengaged consumers I can imagine but otherwise compared to other stuff coming onto the market... idk

I bet he is hoping he gets an EXIT from one of the big boys....they just buy his customers/tech and improve on it. Saves a hella lot of their money time effort and labor--if someone else already did it. Then they just improve on his ....

If I were the dragon there I would've been so impressed with his ability to make a quick joke to release tension then hold strong and get that 5%. I'd be happy to give up the 5% at that point knowing this guy knows how to get a better deal which in the long run will be better for my investment.

Playing their game, at 25% he’s valuated the business at £240,000 and £400,000 at 20% after he gets his money back- what a scam either way for a business doing so well already

Not to mention its absolutely ridiculous to have stat on for only 2 hour max!! I know a lot of brits sleep under double duvets wearing socks (believe me it's very common here😮!!) but rest of the world wants simply warm rooms all night long 😂

"I'm a landlord of multiple-occupancy properties, and I'm responsible for paying all the gas and electric bills". And the multiple occupants just leave the heating on all the time? Gee, I wonder what the problem is, you fool???!

Unless this can be controlled remotely, I don’t see how this isn’t already solved by timer switches? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Alternatively you could just slip a couple of bob to an 8 year old to program you're thermostat for you!

This product already looks dated. Why doesn't it connect to home WiFi, and have an app like Tapo (for lighting) where you can slap it on when you leave work and are going to be home soon? Or if you're in another room, you can just app to it and turn it on. Or if you're an old geeza in a wheelchair but you have a phone or tablet, you can use the app to turn it on. Physically pressing the button is great for making people go to the effort to do things. It means they really want it on, and might think twice about whether they need it on or not. But by NOT being more tech and convenience focused, you are going to lose to anyone else who comes along and puts it onto the WiFi and an app.

Most properties in the UK are heated by gas rather than electricity. Solar panelling reduces the electricity usage but not the gas.

@@scottwallbank4794 I get that. Same in Ireland. I'm saying the new shift for homes. Most new builds in Ireland have shifted away from gas and even get government grants to go solar. The world will go this way
