That’s funny, because I sign all my texts - it’s the least form of communication I use. Assorted social media and emails (which aren’t signed for chit-chat) are my dominant form of getting out there. When I send a text, it’s like a formal post-it note or whatever, so I sign it - most people I text also sign and utilise them this way.... it doesn’t even necessarily mean your name - just something you always put to identify it’s you or whatever he’s also American, and the first one at that, maybe they do it differently

Arkra Cera I suppose it depends on how often you use it, who you chat to, and what the context is. Most of the other videos just have someone putting an xx or xo Because that’s how they end a text - not a literal “signage”

@@williamhannan1327 I think it all just depends on Who you're sending it to. Everybody in my contacts is a mate of mine, so I negate the formalities of signing my name. (plus if we send many texts a week, its kind like 'dude I know whose texting me, this isn't a paper letter, you don't have to keep signing you're name.) However, if I was sending a message to someone I wasn't that close with and didn't know if they had my number I might sign my name. But other than that I don't think it's needed. BUT I completely understand that its personal preference. I email with everybody I professionally work with, so I don't have the need to be formal when texting the people in my contacts. That's probably why I feel this way - hence why my first comment was "sending it to people you know."
