There were some epic storylines in Red Dwarf! Real grade A, top quality writing. The one where the four horsemen of the Apocalypse appear in computer program, the one where there’s a guy called Legion (I am Legion for we are many-a classic piece of dialogue). Or the one where the Gelf feeds on their emotions. So many great episodes, we were indeed truly spoilt.

He kept screwing up and giving away the punchlines to the jokes here that was the problem because he'd been given all this revelatory dialogue and didn't realise if you do it infront of an audience the idea is to hold back the lines if you know youre going to fuck it up so you dont ruin the spontaneity like the other actors would know to do so he just plowed through it and gave away all this stuff then had to redo it so the audience reaction wasn't as good cos theyd already heard it ofcourse but yes he was doing that cos he wasn't used to a live audience. The series 5 Red Dwarf documentary shows him cocking it up its on that DVD.

Knowing the twist, I finally noticed that they are immediately given reasons to despair when they wake up. Lister regretted losing Kris but held out up for a reunion. Rimmer felt like he was a failure but reasoned he never had a chance to begin with. We got this whole rant so that they would feel like failures.

Can't believe he's used the Brummie accent again. Must love the sound of it! Genius :)

uh this didn't actually happen. They're experiencing a delusional episode because of the chemicals given off by the despair squid.

When this first aired, I was disappointed they had simply hired a Brummie actor to play himself whilst the regular cast were doing such a good job readjusting to the new identities foisted onto them by the despair squid. I now realise what a brilliant performance this is from Timothy Spall.

@@stewartcohen-jones2949 The film "Lady Bird" has a 99% approval rating on there. I've never met anyone who thinks it is a decent film, in fact I don't even think it's even Saoirse Ronan's best film! The vile "Cuties"/"Mignons" has an 86% rating, even though it managed to wipe millions off Netflix's share, and has rave reviews off critics. Anyone who goes and watches that is in for a nasty surprise. There are numerous other examples. So no, I don't give a damn about Rotten Tomatoes, or most film critics who have little original to say for themselves.
