Just because something or someone is successful doesn't mean they're funny, good, or likeable.

@A J it's not the liking them specifically part, it's the generalization and the sheer amount of people doing it. "I don't think any of these women are funny". Fine, that's entirely fair, watch what you like. "Women aren't funny." No. Fuck you. Fuck off.
@jessicawanyan97854 жыл бұрын
@@shnouth5391 I don't actually know how to respond to your comment, since you missed my point entirely. Those people weren't offering criticism on these specific women comedians, they said "women aren't funny". People dislike things. Sure, entirely valid, go watch what you like, your opinion is your opinion. But people generalizing their dislike to an entire group of people (in this case, an entire gender) based on a couple of examples plus the fact that "women aren't funny" is almost always used as an attempt to put down women/get them to shut up. No. Fuck off, fuck you. My comment wasn't an argument, and I didn't pretend that it was. My comment was me being pissed, make of that what you fucking will.

@imanf38822 жыл бұрын
It depends on the place in Britain too though.
@dreadgerbil3 күн бұрын
It's complicated to explain, but the basic is that we divide the classes down more. In the UK we have working class, then lower middle class, then upper middle class, THEN you start getting into the truly rich folk. In the US middle class is used to refer to such a massive group of people that it covers both family who work in food service but are doing decently enough to be able to pay all the bills and take decent care of their kids AND Dentist who owns a boat and a cabin where he takes the family for a month long holiday in the summer because he can totally take a whole month off of work.
