That was the first time I'd seen a mama bear's warning sound. Pay attention if you ever witness that in the wild. It might save your life.

It's important to always be aware of your surroundings in the wild, and to pay close attention to the behavior of wild animals. Mama bears have a variety of warning sounds and body language that they use to communicate with their cubs and other animals, and it's important to recognize these signals to avoid any potential danger. In the event that you encounter a bear in the wild, it's important to remain calm and avoid approaching or startling the animal. Keeping a safe distance and slowly backing away can help to prevent any conflict. Remember to always prioritize the safety and well-being of both yourself and the wildlife around you.

@@3winanimal yeah that could work definitely on a black bear, maybe on a brown bear if they aren't hungry because they will eat anything, 50/50 against a sloth bear, and the polar bear is like a 6% chance of surviving as long as he doesn't see you as food.

How cute are they! Our camera team recently got on camera other cute cubs: snow leopards! They are extremely hard to catch on camera because they live in some of the harshest environments on Earth, in the mountains of South and Central Asia. Plus, there are only around 3,000 individuals left in the wild. It isn't easy to film at an altitude of 5,000m, but our camera crew in the Himalayas did just that. They also work their way to capture footage of a snow leopard mom and her two cubs giving unique insights into these mysterious animals' lives.

Thank you for this video! In Finland bear has been a feared creature, but in the folklore it has also had a significant role: the forefather of human and protector spirit of Tapio, the god of forest. Funnily enough it's finnish name "karhu" used today is an euphemism, so that the beast won't be unintentionally summoned by calling it's real name.

Thank you for sharing this interesting information about the significance of bears in Finnish folklore. It's fascinating to see how cultural beliefs and traditions can shape our perceptions of animals. While bears can be feared and dangerous predators in the wild, they also play important roles in maintaining the health and balance of ecosystems. It's important to approach these animals with respect and caution, while also recognizing their importance in the natural world. We can learn a lot from folklore and cultural traditions about the ways in which humans have historically interacted with the natural world, and use this knowledge to promote sustainable and ethical practices today.

@3winanimal
@3winanimal Жыл бұрын
It's true that many animals, including some species of primates and large cats, are capable of climbing trees. However, the ability to climb varies depending on the size and weight of the animal, as well as the structure of the tree itself. Larger and heavier animals may find it more difficult to climb, while smaller and more agile animals may be more adept at climbing. In any case, climbing trees can be an important survival skill for many animals, providing a safe haven from predators or access to food sources. It's fascinating to observe the diverse range of adaptations and behaviors that animals have developed in order to thrive in their natural environments.

@@kyoku1982 brown bear adults can absolutely climb trees. definitely not as well as black bears, but doesn't mean they can't climb. only the absolute unit males weighing over half a ton would have issues with tree climbing.

@@plantahari In rare cases perhaps but aside from the weight brown/grizzly claws are not made for climbing like shorter more curved black bear claws. So most adult browns have major issues with tree climbing (which is fortunate for the many animals and people who have escaped them by getting up trees).

Encounters with wildlife in their natural habitats can be unpredictable and often pose risks, as demonstrated by the close call for these brown bear cubs. While it's exciting to see these animals in their natural environment, it's crucial to remember to observe them from a safe distance and not to disturb their habitats. We must respect these animals and their natural behaviors, and prioritize their safety and well-being. Encounters with wildlife can be educational and enlightening, but they must also be approached with caution and respect.

It is always concerning when wild animals, especially young ones, are put in danger. Brown bear cubs are particularly vulnerable in their early years, and their survival depends on their mother's protection and care.

It's wonderful to see that there are still forests in Europe that are home to diverse and beautiful wildlife, such as the family you mentioned. While deforestation and habitat loss remain significant environmental challenges, there are also many efforts underway to preserve and protect forests and other natural habitats. These efforts are essential for maintaining the health and diversity of ecosystems, and ensuring that future generations can continue to enjoy the wonder and beauty of the natural world. We all have a role to play in protecting our planet's forests and wildlife, and supporting conservation efforts can make a meaningful difference.
