This number IS absolutely luscious indeed. A masterpiece in every sense of the word. Im new to Arctic Monkeys and only on my third number of theirs but each one I love. I actually became a fan cuz of his surprisingly virtuosic vocals. I come from different genres but im very open minded when it comes to music. How u should be imho. I've recently found a few new bands. But back to this one. So I'm really loving his vocals and that was before this. Then I find this masterpiece and was blown away. He sings it like its a late 50s/early 60s ballad and hes a jazz crooner. Its just perfection at its finest. Everything. And not just his vocals but the whole arrangement of the number. Serious propers to this cat and the rest of the band. Im on my way down the AM rabbit hole

You're getting cynical and that won't do I'd throw the rose tint back on the exploded view Darling, if I were you And how's that insatiable appetite? For the moment when you look them in the eyes And say, "Baby, it's been nice" So do you wanna walk me to the car? beyond Alex's flawless performance that says it all in itself, I still can't believe what they are doing. I mean, this was the first song on the album to be announced and I think they did it because this song deserves the world and if it had only been released when the album came out it wouldn't have received the success it has right now. I mean, if they had released sculptures of anything goes instead of mirrorball it would have become more popular. Based on this reflection, I suppose they make music not to have a commercial audience but because they do care more about doing what they actually like and that's the reason why they are my favorite band.
