Even with the hiccups, this is fantastic music by the most legendary band to still be recording music from their era. This lineup has magic.

Bassist Roger Glover told the story behind the song title : “You’ll be telling [drummer Ian Paice] something, and he’ll be looking at you with a blank look on his face, and finally he’ll say, ‘Look at it this way. You’ve got me : ALL I’VE GOT IS YOU!’ Ian’s sense of humour is based on insults.” Hence, “All I Got Is You” (2017)❕ 💜🎶💜

Loving all the Steve Morse era albums, Abandon is probably my favourite, such a dark, broody beast of an album. Whoosh sits really nicely alongside both Perpendicular and Now What. Special mention to Bananas, Rapture Of The Deep & Infinite, all get played lots at home and in the car. This is a special period in the bands history, their writing and musicianship remain as great and unique as ever !!!

Love Deep Purple in every mark. And relieving to hear such accomplished musician being nervous and make mistakes. First Steve Morse in the intro, then Roger Glover and finally Ian Gillan.

It's impossible not to love these guys. I remember seeing them at the age of 12, 8 years ago and being the youngest person there. I was in constant search of a merch table but all we can find was bars all over the place. Just like here, the audience was pretty much strictly Day-1 fans. As they get older it's noticeable that their music ages gracefully, they don't rock as hard as they did but who would want them to? The sound is inoffensive and humble, and the lyrics are direct and mature. And Steve Morse, while he may not be at the front of many peoples mind, is completely un-dislikable. He's just one of those guys that you can't hate. Bunch of classy dudes.

Reading your own lyrics, makes me realise we all get old and the memory can fade sometimes. Rock does not fade.

As i know it is not about Ian's age. Ian always had trouble of remembering lyrics. This always pissed Ritchie off :D.

Someone gave this a thumb down because they can't handle their Purple without Blackmore. They can't see it for what it is.

A band is more than their individual members.. And Ian does a great job keeping them going. Blackmore is a great guitarist but the band is thriving more without him.
