I was in Addis Abeba doing relief and development work when Operation Solomon began on May 24, 1991. It was surreal to hear the evacuation of the Ethiopian Jews called Beit Jews on BBC and hearing the skirmishes of the rebels and the government soldiers as the bulk of rebel reinforcement was on their way to Addis. Their timely airlift was another evidence of God's grace to His people.
