So very sad to hear of the passing of the most superb & beloved Actress, Dame Maggie Smith. She truly was the best of the best! Especially as Lady Violet in the infamous Downton Abbey! Dame Maggie truly did steal every scene she was in with her amazing talent & phenomenal acting ability! A truly remarkable lady! She truly will be greatly missed & will never be forgotten! I did not realize that Toby Stephens, who portrayed Mr Rochester in the excellent BBC Series Jane Eyre was Maggie's son. That explains a lot! Toby was truly brilliant in that Role! The absolute best Mr Rochester ever & that's saying a lot. It is not surprising that he is Maggie's son, with such brilliant acting skills & such depth of character, revealed by the fact that they both owned the Roles & Characters they portrayed. Dame Maggie has left all of us with so many fond memories, as well as a truly lasting Legacy from her wonderful Life.
