And the last leader executed was in 1944 because he was a traitor who collaborated against the country. Other than that most of the executions France is known for was the guillotine era back in the late 1700s. Which i will concede that just about everyone got put on the guillotine. Interesting... my thought was that if it had been statesman like de Gaulle, I would have felt that he had the moral right to express disapproval, though I would have expected him to just let it pass by... that would have been the most appropriate choice for Macron as he is a politician, not a statesman. Besides, plain social norms are legally inconsequential. If the young fellow would have doubled down, I think Macron would have had to back off... or what? I'm not against hierarchy, per se, if it's backed by law. If there is no applicable law, then they could have gone arguing, and it's their private disagreement. At least that's how it is under the rule of law, and heads of state should have utmost observance to it.

@@mufsogamer9497 Not really. The way he speaks doesn't sound angry to me, just clear as though he is explaining to the boy what's appropriate or not. Manu is a nickname and when you hear the boy saying casually 'hey Manu' or whatever he said, it doesn't sound respectful and I'm sure he knows that and wants a reaction. However, I think it's good that he listens and seems respectful after that.
