But still... it's nowhere close to Ali's interviews from 4-6 years ago. He's a well prepared, geek, fanboy journalist, and he knows Good Omens was done by two notable British writers Pratchett and Gaiman, and the TV version was developed for years, while Good Omens 2 is an ordered-by-greedy-management sequel, rushed in probably by ghost writers (worst case it's based on a previously rejected generic storyboard of some unknown writer, and now shaped to use the known characters).. and his smile is not hoset.
@JonLane Жыл бұрын
@@MinekEzQMexcept Good Ones 2 is absolutely written and showrun by Gaiman, with the blessing and approval of the Pratchett estate (you know, Rob Wilkins and Lin and Rhianna Pratchett, the guys who steamrolled Pterry's hard drives to destroy any further Discworld stories to preserve the purity of the originals, and who are INCREDIBLY protective of his work), based on ideas, notes and discussions Neil and Pterry had. It absolutely is not just a cash-grab by Amazon management - though I'm sure they're delighted with the show'a success and fandom - and if you know anything about Neil, you know that he has both the confidence and clout to tell the management to jog on if there's not a story to tell.

@@MinekEzQM... And if there were no marketing, then no one would be aware of it, no one would watch it, and it would be deemed a commercial failure... Promotion and marketing is a vital part of a.production budget - you don't get eyes on your product, if no one knows your product exists! (This is not me saying that writers don't deserve better terms on their contracts - as a sometime script-writer and actor myself, I absolutely stand by the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes - but literally, as someone who has written, produced and performed their own shows, you HAVE to promote and market yourself until you are dead on your feet, if you hope to have an audience; suggesting you just get rid of the promotion and give it to the writers and everything is solved, is just ridiculous)

@TheHazbinSock Who are you asking? (There were 3 people who contributed to this conversation thread.) I’m fine, and really enjoyed the entire ‘Good Omens 2’ show.
