I love Chris, he was loving this! Clever choreography from Karen; there wasn't much salsa and it wasn't great but the rest was just pure fun and perfect for Blackpool. And he did hold his own with the professional dancers! I love how excited he was afterwards too, haha.

He's always fun to watch. It took about half the routine to see any actual salsa steps, and even then his footwork wasn't great. But his personality as always shines and his lifts were actually quite good. (5)

I enjoyed this dance but the scoring was all over the place. If we look at other Salsas in the competition, this was not on par with those. But I guess the magic of the Blackpool ballroom and all that... it's really nice seeing how much Chris is enjoying the dancing now though, he actually really wants to do well and pushes himself as hard as possible. Love that work ethic!

It's Ivana nope you’re completely right, I’m a dancer and yes there was dance elements but it was mainly like a kids party or dance battle that is meant to be “entertaining” instead of an intense salsa that is technical. Personally I think it was overmarked but still good fun to watch :)

I think a 9 is a bit much for this! There was not 100% salsa content in there. In fact I didn't like the stalling at the start. But he has like others in strictly upped his game! And there was some hip hop elements in there that I kinda liked. Lots of gain in confidence as well. Could be in danger this week but love his Comedic Personality! A Funky 7!

Like I said I love Chris energy in his dance, except for last week. I just felt why, but this week WE STAN! I wouldn't say it was 9 worthy though. There were salsa elements thay could have been more cleaner. In addition, some figures look clunky. However, I still enjoyed his dance loved it. *8*

Everyone asking how he keeps in the series? Perhaps you should Google top podcast of the week consistently? A little known podcast called Shagged, Married, Annoyed by a little known husband and wife named Chris and Rosie Ramsey. Their an absolute scream and get a lot of listeners who are massive fans of them and are following them on social media - whom are asking for votes. He's a lovely guy and is bringing a lot of entertainment. Although Strictly is a dancing competition, it is television and people do vote for whom they favour. He's proving very popular, he's likely to go to full way I think. Don't take it too seriously 😜😜

From a technical perspective, Chris may not be the best dancer on the show but he is far from rubbish. He is highly entertaining, fun to watch and his obvious hard work in the training room has paid off. It is easy to forget just how challenging it can be to remember a routine and master the finer points of placement, all while counting the time of the music and Chris does this brilliantly. 'Hats off to Karen for getting a complete novice dancer to such a high level. They are a great dancing couple. :)

Here's the thing, dancing wise he's definitely the weakest by now (over all, but he wasn't my least favourite even in that this week), but though the judges are professionals, I know a large number of people watching are not. Most people likely have little or no experience in dancing, and in that way, a technically poorer but immensely entertaining dancer deserves to be this far in too. It's a dance show, yes, but performance is just as important for most people, as they aren't experts in steps and technique. Chris is someone who I feel has had multiple weeks in which dancing wise he deserved to be in the dance off, but I would much rather watch his dances (other than maybe his cha cha and samba) 20 times than a lot of the others even just twice.

To me this was fun! I'm not a dance expert, though. However, I'm becoming an “expert" when it comes to the judges! Lots of people say "overmarked and “undermarked"; but one has to read the judges between the lines - that is - their hope and way of manipulating the outcome. It's getting increasingly obvious (and repetetive): When the judges desperately want to keep someone in, they mark them down and pass on some harsh (and unfair) comments, so that people vote for them and leave their own two (or one) least favourite copule(s) in the bottom two. It's a tactic they apply again and again! Last week they were in shock re Michelle's drop and hence have applied their method this week (giving her a low score which has left her at the bottom). Personally I hope to see the back of her in a dance off with Saffron!

Unfortunately, I didn't like this routine. Yes, it had great energy and the synchronization between all of Chris, Karen and the other dancers was superb, but the actual salsa he did was really weak. There was a good amount of actual salsa content and the balance between the salsa steps and the funky and groovy stuff was kept very well, but, as I said, Chris was stumpy, he didn't straight his legs, he didn't close his feet on counts 5 and 7, and above all - he didn't produce ANY hip action. Salsa is all about creating the figure 8 with the hips but Chris didn't use his hips at all. For me, to be totally sincere, it is time for Chris to go. He is not progressing on the show, sadly. As a performance it was very uplifting, but as a Salsa it was really week, Chris didn't master the technicality of this dance at all. At least his musicality was spot on. A 5.

Agreed. Chris is my fav but way overmarked tonight - Blackpool is always something of a free for all so I imagine he'll be back with 6s and 7s next week. Still, after weeks on end of bad slots and harsh marks (compared with Mike for example) I guess we just let him have this one. I still voted for him.
