It is like foxtrot on steroids. That! A mixture of slow steps, and much faster steps that are often used as "tricks"--like scatters, bounces, rockets, scissors, pendulums, tipsys, polka chasses. And of course, don't forget the charleston flicks that make the quickstep feel almost like you doing the jive. The famous "turkey trot" figure (advanced) was often used by Modern dancesport competitors in the past in the 1980s and 1990s in quickstep, but it is slightly a fad to do it now.
