I'm so thrilled its back. And I love the social distancing techniques that they have put in place to keep the show safe. And yes, I realise that with this show, it won't be immune from Covid and there is still a possibility that people may contract the disease. However I genuinely hope that Strictly will be back with a bang and that this will be a great series. Massive good luck to all of celebs and pros for this year. I'll be rooting for you :)

STRICTLY IS BACK!! Yes, it feels a tad sad this year, the whole atmosphere is a bit empty and a bit strange... BUT nevertheless it was a wonderful lunch show. There is no show like strictly to add some light, glitz and magic into these uneasy days. It started as a lovely contemporary dance so airy, unbelievably soft and touching, and then it turned into some spicy Cha Cha Cha and Samba. Those prose never cease to amaze me. There professionalism is beyond words. What a magnificent number to kick off the series, with this powerful song by Stevie Wonder, "As". Let me wish us all a fantastic and magical series, with lots of jaw-dropping performances!

The reduced studio audience numbers brought a lack of response to the dances, jokes etc which caused the show to feel flat. I suggest they should have either a virtual audience join in along with the reduced studio audience, or have other audience watch the show next door on a cinema screen. Then you could get more reaction and energy.
