Me personally I just follow current British comedy and this country came up on my radar through KZbin. You guys are just WAY better at series comedy. I’ve got a list of 30 or so that I love. I’ve ran into brits that have never heard of half of them.

I work 5 mins away from Northleach (where This Country was set) and can confirm a lot of the locals did NOT get the joke! (I loved the show but am not a local) Can also confirm the market place car park is the worst design ever - all of the spaces are at an 45 degree angle. GREAT if you drive a 4x4 (which we all have to.. It's the countryside!)

This country is top quality comedy TV. They got it right by copying and writing the things we all find humour in in real life. Too many comedy shows now are complete failures because they try too hard to be funny an forget what real comedy is and where it comes from , I hope to see more shows like this in the future it reminds me a lot of the comedy written and performed by Australian Chris Liley
