Hankook RS3s ... didn't they switch to RS4s like 10 years ago? Great driving as always, dude!

Yeah, these were already 'old' when I bought them 'new'...... but still better than the dry-rot garbage I had on the car before, so I am slowly treating her to iteratively better parts over time. One day I might not be so cheap and will give the car the tyres it deserves.

I have noticed that my 2002 nb mx5 has become really floaty in the rear under breaking hard and also just cruising along at highway speeds? A friend noticed while driving behind that the back looks like it wobbling left to right. Where is the first place I should look?
@Bbeavis2 ай бұрын
Probably take it to an alignment expert to have them check your suspension, bushes, wheels and wheel alignment are correct.

@@Bbeavis I did just that and it's fixed! Another query though that I can't seem to find, I have a 2022 NB VVT mx5, Stock Bore size is 83mm, I want new rods and pistons but am unsure if I can run 83.5mm Pistons without changing the factory Bore?
@Bbeavis2 ай бұрын
I am not an engine build expert, but my understanding is you definitely need to bore the cylinder walls to match larger piston diameter.

Which camera are you using? Why is there stitching towards the top right? Love your videos!

Might be like a 360 degree camera maybe?

Just a normal GoPro 9. You'd think by now they'd know how to do in-car footage.

@@Bbeavis thank you Sir! I really like the way you modified your yata, mine‘s stock power nb2 and wanna put 200Tread wear 225tires on it, is it a night and day difference to put on a turbo kit compared to stock engine?
@Bbeavis2 ай бұрын
@@袁誠鴻-y9u it certainly can be night and day in terms of cost and reliability.... and in terms of power it depends how fast you want to make it.

When i was at this track last i was scared about not knowing where the edge of grip is with my tyres, have you got any advice for feeling when and where your starting to overheat or push your tyres too far?
@Bbeavis3 ай бұрын
I don't really have a particular answer for you. I guess it is just practice and feel. I am not an expert so maybe I am not the best to ask. The more the drive, the more it becomes natural. I think you work up over time, slightly more speed through each corner with each lap until you start to encounter sliding, or oversteer/understeer. It also helps to have a car thats consistent and setup well, have the tyres in the right pressure range, etc.
