I actually feel like KZbin is better now. It takes a bit of work to curate what you watch. But I've had a much easier time finding smallish channels that really fit my niche. My home page always has a suggested video with less than a thousand view which I absolutely love. For example, I just recently found your channel and it has quickly become one of my favorites.

Many KZbin videos of an important nature have been removed from the platform. There is very much ideological censorship, and the rot from old creators losing their passwords and emails and the videos gradually disappearing means that we need an easy way to get some kind of offline KZbin archive for people. Not manually downloading videos and putting them in to a folder. That is a different thing that is not viable for large scale or reliable preservation. KZbin will go in to your account and remove playlists if there is content that explains certain philosophies about modern events a little too well. Unless you've got an eidetic memory, this is the modern day equivalent of book burning.

I think my biggest challenge with starting a KZbin channel is not knowing what I truly want to create. I have so many different interests-gaming, 3D printing, tutorials, vlogging, memes, cooking, even unboxing-but I haven’t been able to figure out which direction excites me the most. I want to create something, but I constantly find myself asking, 'What exactly?' It’s frustrating because, deep down, I know I enjoy these activities, but when it comes to turning them into content, I get stuck. On top of that, the thought of going through the process-setting up recording software, filming, editing, and making sure everything is perfect-feels overwhelming. I like to relax when I’m engaging with my hobbies, and the idea of turning them into polished content for KZbin feels more like work than fun. I don’t want to constantly worry about whether my videos are good enough or if everything is in tip-top shape, especially when all I want to do is kick back and enjoy myself. It’s not just the technical side either. I’m not sure I even have the motivation to put myself out there. Being in front of a camera, creating something that people will watch and judge, feels intimidating. I don’t know if I’m ready to deal with the pressure of being visible online. It’s as if part of me wants to share what I love and create content, but another part just wants to stay in the background and avoid all the hassle. Finding that balance between doing what I enjoy and keeping things low-stress feels almost impossible. Ultimately, I wish I knew exactly what I want to create... but maybe I’m holding myself back. The pressure to find the perfect idea stopping me from exploring my interests. It feels impossible to choose just one thing.

You can create multiple channels from your main channel, but there is a catch, some settings that you can't confirm on multiple channels at once only once per year. So in theory you can start 2, 3 channels at once but if you want to make a 4th channel you have to wait for one year to use the same number. I am not sure if that was the setting, or something else.

But now that I'm getting older, with a loving partner by my side and family that supports me in anything I do, it has made me want to do something that could leave a legacy on this planet to show my kids when they're older, to tell them "I did this thing simply because I wanted to, so you can do anything you want to as long as you can push forward towards your goal." I experimented with a lot of different ideas, and looking back at my old videos really makes me cringe, lol. But it’s been such a therapeutic journey for me too. I’ve always struggled with confidence issues, and somehow, creating something and seeing people enjoy it has been incredibly rewarding. On top of that, the entire creative process-coming up with ideas, writing them out, testing them, and crafting a script-has given me a real sense of purpose. It’s also brought a whole new level of enjoyment to gaming itself. For anyone reading; just start. You don't have to be the best, you have to find the fun in it. Maybe you find out it's not for you, which is fine. And maybe it is for you... and it becomes something that brings you joy, growth, and a new way to connect with others. It's worth the try either way.

I've recently started to be more serious in creating KZbin content, and it's good to be reminded that it's ok to focus on what you're passionate about, rather than getting lost in all the metrics and algorithm side of the platform. Like you said: I can figure out the rest along the way!

I didn't expect such high-quality content from a random click. Nice to see KZbin's algorithm still delivers hidden gems from time to time.

Gonna try and make my first KZbin video soon. I’ve been wanting too for the longest time but never felt like it was worth it but you just inspired me and I have loved gaming my whole life, thank you!

On the browser version of KZbin there's a list to the left of the people I've subscribed to and I usually peruse through there rather than scroll through the feed. As someone that does that, I'm definitely subscribing to this guy

I enjoy watching these videos from small and medium sized creators. The large and mega sized creators "DO THIS AND YOULL BECOME LIKE ME !!!" In stead of just "Man, just make some videos and have fun. Follow your heart". And i love that feeling

Your channel always reminds of the old commentary days with people like Hutch and all that. It’s nice. A lot of stuff is just too over the top now so simple conversations over gameplay is cool

Dude you mentioned Seananners and it just unlocked memories in my brain. He was one of the original people I subbed too but for one reason or another I lost track of him. I just looked up his channel again and it’s been 15 *years* since then. Insane.

I started my KZbin channel almost 13 years ago and the channel went through a couple of phases. But in 2018 I found the content that both I love to make and people enjoy. Since 2018 I became a KZbin partner, started a discord server that now has over 200 members. I've build a wicked community that sees action on a daily basis. I've met people on there who I now call friends. All this just because I started a KZbin channel and shared my passion.

I hesitated a lot at first to create a Music Channel because "who would want another one" i thought to myself so i ended up not doing it for a while but after some time i found an appoach that felt unique to me and made my first steps. At first i was hoping i could just not care about viewers and simply share my passion but i quickly realized that i did care and can't just ignore that.. Luckily though i was happy to reach anyone even if only 1 person and i have always held on to that mindset and never lost appreciation for any person who watches or finds my videos. It's easy to see only numbers when you look at viewer counts but it's very important to realize that every single added view to your video is a person like you and me that just found your video and that is not something to just brush aside and take for granted. After i have grown confident in my position as a creator i did go for a "experiment" to create a video that was meant to reach a lot of people and that video has reached over 100.000 people and is by far my most successful one. I am to this day overwhelmed by it's still growing number of viewers but i also know that this is not something i wanted and i was still happier with the videos i created out of passion even though they reach a lot less people. I am still very happy for everyone who watched that video and the positive reception of it but it doesn't quite feel the same as a passion project and i will always prioritize my passion over success. Your Videos really help me to stay in touch with myself so thank you for sharing your thoughts and keeping us sane in this world.

This video came at the right time for me man.. Thank You. I've tried starting a KZbin channel a few times now... first time was back when Destiny was still just concept art and big dreams, Some friends and I made a channel to cover the news as it was coming out, Ended up falling apart as everyone got bored and found other games to play, we were just kids, but it was really fun... Might be one of the reasons I went to study film eventually.. 2nd attempt was a couple years later, I was at film school, and wanted to share my love of movies and animation, I eventually realized i didn't have time to study, have a social life, and upload videos.. so I stopped, but never really gave up on the dream... Its been over 10 years now since I first uploaded a video, but in the last few months I've finally been in a place where I feel like I have the skills, and the time, to try again. Thanks for the push man.. Truly. Currently working on an animation project that I would really love to upload one day. Slow and steady work, but I'm hoping one day someone will watch it and think "I can do better than that" and then start their own film making and animation journey. and the cycle can repeat once again.

Thanks for this video! I am also really interested to hear more of why it's worth it for you personally (I liked the part you said about flipping it around and saying "what if *you* care about it that felt cool to hear and seemed personal ig) And more specifically I'd like to hear what some of the most fulfilling parts have been for you

I’m thankful for all 1.1k of my subscribers. Let’s continue to achieve and excel. I’ve been inspired to be a KZbinr from a younger age. Now here I am trying to make it. Trying to find my audience. And fulfill my intentions of entertaining people, making people laugh, and being an outlet for people to sit back relax and enjoy a piece of my content. Grind doesn’t stop keep it up everyone.

I wish I started in school because my channel would be so much more by now. And those kids that bully will be a long and distant memory one day, they won’t matter! Don’t give up I believe in you and your KZbin channel!

I don't mean for this to sound too prideful, but I think you're better than them. All the people who bullied you. You had and hopefully still have somewhere within you to be courageous and put creative things out into the world. The people who make fun of you are scared to try things that are unknown and you weren't. You're already five steps ahead

Loved the video. I only have 6k and we are nearly at 7k I’m so thankful for it. To me KZbin has always been a hobby which I wanted to do because I grew up watching (mark, Jack, Felix, Dan and Cory) they were my true inspiration. I’m so glad I have chosen to do KZbin it’s been amazing and I’m only now able to commit to it to the best of my ability. So thankful for the opportunity and I have zero regrets with starting the channel

You are the nail in the coffin. I will be working on my first video soon. With this sort of style in mind. Just talking about stuff, whether that be life experiences, games, problems. Anything I enjoy. I found another creator that did this same sort of style you are here and that’s what initially motivated me. And before I found this, I was talking to myself, saying “if I can just make one persons day, one person feel motivated, that would mean the world to me. So, as I can see from the likes and comments I’m not the only one taking motivation from your video, consider me that one person. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do, but was to scared, and even if I wasn’t, I never felt anyone would care. But how will I ever know if I don’t try. Thank you. I hope I can do this for just one person. As you’ve done for me.

Me watching this on friday😂 Thank you soooo much for making this video! This has helped me incredibly. I was over analyzing how I'd start and the way it work and if I can be honest I didn't think people would like it because the meta is so out there now but you mentioning just to be authentic and do what you love and that even if it resonates with just one person that can make an impact that clicked with me. So thank you once again. I pray to see your content and channel thrive and I pray you have a blessed day!🙏

@VideoGameKillCounts2 ай бұрын
Subscribed. I needed this without knowing I needed to hear this. My kill count channel has been an absolute grind… liturally editing 13000+ kills in Space Marine II and it just chugs along slowly with the metrics - but like you say, if only one person enjoy it - it was worth the effort. I shall continue to pursue my passion to kill count games, and not the numbers! I think it’s important to not compare when others post super success on places like Reddit… that really puts me into a sad mood sometimes. Gotta push through it 💪😊
@Lilseizy982 ай бұрын
Just checked out and subbed to your channel out of sheer respect for the grind. Watched the first few minutes of the space marine one and holy shit. What a dope concept for a channel, so simple but the sheer amount of effort one knows goes into that makes it inherently entertaining

This really hit home with me, but more so when it comes to streaming on Twitch. I stopped streaming early on in the year due to a mix of things, but one of the reasons why was feeling like I couldn't do what I wanted to do on the platform, as I feel it kinda pushes you to play certain games over others. After listening to your thoughts on this relating to KZbin, it's kind of encouraged me to want to get back into streaming while focusing on whatever I want to play because the important thing should be having fun no matter what you're playing! Your videos on tackling backlogs has given me an idea of what I'd like to do with streaming too!
