OK folks for all you people who bbq in uncrowded are here is how a situation like this plays out. These people who obviously don't think the rules apply to them throw their coals in the sand when they are done, I mean they're not going to put them in their cars and there are not places to safely dispose of the coals after all. Then perhaps they cover the coals with sand, or not, and the coals remain dangerously hot for hours. After they leave somebody else decides to walk to the beach in bare feet, a child perhaps who knows, and they step on red hot coals. Trip to the hospital time... There are places in LA where you can have bonfires, bbqs etc on the beach but this isn't one of them.

Please, post BIG signage at entry to parking lot and also include a written list that informs folks when they pay for parking, with the full list of all prohibitions, so folks can turn around BEFORE they make this mistake, then hold any willful violations accountable, but there could be designated areas for picnics and cook outs too, as they have in many parks and beaches, on first come basis.
