Looks good. Definately an addition to my video collection. I'm an engineer on the Squamish Sub and yes much has changed indeed, the RDC's are gone, the SD40-2's are gone, the Dash 8's are giving way to CN ES44DC's and SD70M-2's(I had one of each coming home from Lillooet today, a CN GEVO, a Dash 8 and a BCR Dash 9). The Pemberton Pushers are gone, and the school train is gone. One freight train a day each way between Squamish and Prince George and a switcher job that runs south of Squamish.

Milepost312. the robot being a few cars back has nothing to do with tactics over the grades. This southbound train would have set out a bunch of cars at Squamish for the docks and only a few cars were left ahead of it. Feed valve cut out and pretty much running as a conventional train.

Watching this in memory to the BC Rail C40-8M's. Shame CN scrapped all of them except for #4622. Not sure if that one will be scrapped as well.

None are scrapped, all are in service accept the CN cowls, those are getting scrapped and then the bc rails will be getting sorted like a few months or more after

@@MontanaNorthernRockportRail Oof sorry. at the time I posted the comment there was only 1 confirmed bcol bowl in operation and I was just speculating. I do know of 3 recently scrapped bcol's but other then that it seam's the rest are running I think.

The engines that were scrapped were numbers 4606, 4610, and 4614. I recorded them while on their way to Toronto headed to the K&K scrap yard.

kinda strange to see a DPU only a few cars back from the lead....they had some crazy tactics for those grades! R.I.P

And then CN took over and imposed their way of doing things which resulted in a rash of accidents and fatalities including several "string theory" derailments, needless to say the DPUs came back on line.....

I visited the railway last summer and indeed not much BCR was left. SD's GP's GE's fom CN to WC. Maybe some railfan would be happy to see an old (put pimped) SD40 on a train in lead position but the bitter truth is it's a sad thing. Will they kill the the Sqamish link to Vancouver for Olympic games? I wonder how they will add just a single lane to Hwy at Porteau?
