BC2BC 2022, Electric Vehicle Rally from Mexico to Canada (Day 1)

In June of 2012, QC Charge founder Tony Williams set off on a journey to become the first driver of an electric vehicle to travel from Mexico to Canada, he did so in a nearly brand new 2012 Nissan LEAF.
This video marks the first installment in a short series detailing Tony's travels for the 10th anniversary of the same trip, only this time in a near new 2022 Nissan LEAF S+.
Back in 2012, there wasn't much fast charging infrastructure, particularly in California (one of the goals of the trip was to demonstrate that), so it took 9 days to complete the original trip. This time around, CHAdeMO chargers are much more plentiful, so the trip only took 4 days, though that doesn't mean there wasn't any drama...

100 miler #87 here. Congrats on the trip. The 62 Leaf requires careful battery charging strategy to do long distances quickly.

plase share leafspy snapshots to see how much the temperature grow during travel (mean speed is necessary) and charges (need to know also SOH and Hx of the battery)

@@luipir, Tony completed this trip in June 2022 (and previously in June 2012). Let's just say that the battery got hot enough to slow the charge rate to a ridiculously slow rate!!!

Did the battery cool down to outside air temperature during night time when the car was parked ? I would guess getting rid of that extra heat is very slow
