With battery degradation and the effects of hot and cold weather, 300 miles are needed. I’d buy an electric if I could find one that had a 125 mile range in extreme cold (-10F) and could handle 50 miles in each direction and 8 hours of sitting idle. This mileage would also have to be within the 80% to 20% charge range

Those motor stacks are assembled on the production line then the top electronic charger cover is added by a robot in a sealed room environment. I watched and took photos of this process at the Nissan UK Sunderland factory tour. In hindsight an external connector would have been easier for future maintenance as you have done.
@KonduitEV4 күн бұрын
No way, I bet that was really cool to see! We agree, a plug in connecter would be a much better solution!

Curious to know if the replacement mirror was factory new or refurbished? Also, was the mirror cap prepainted or did you paint at your shop.
@KonduitEV8 күн бұрын
@@darkenergy5686 Great question, we only use genuine Tesla parts whether it’s new or remanufactured it’s always Tesla. The top mirror cap pops off and transfers over to the new mirror so no need for painting it!😁👍🏽

Seems like Konduit does a lot of older vehicles for the LDUs and whatnot…do these same LDUs exist in newer Tesla and other vehicles? What major/similar service needs are you finding with newer Model 3, Model Y, other brand BEVs?

@@filipjakubik1767 My apologies, I miss understood your question. The cost ranges from ($3800-$7500). It really depends on if you need a new LDU or not and the severity of the leak.

Hi - I just heard about coolant delete kit. How is it ok to remove the coolant system from the motor? Wouldn’t it get too hot? Also I know that the b250e has the SDU not the LDU?
@KonduitEVАй бұрын
Hi, the name Coolant Delete is a little miss leading its not deleting the coolant from the system completely. Just from the Rotor side of the motor which actually doesn't need to be cooled. Tesla has adopted it for there newer model S's 2021 & newer. Also the LDU is used in The Rav 4 EVs 2012-2014, Tesla Model S 2012 - Current and the Mercedes B-Class 250-E 2014-2017. Wow, I didn’t realize I was so close to the actual transition (I was towed in on the morning Oct. 1st, 2024). James and the Konduit EV team were absolutely incredible with my new-to-me 2014 Model S P85 and the rebuild of my LDU. I couldn’t be more pleased with their explanations, patience, and the quality of the workmanship they provide. Konduit EV went above and beyond helping to reset error codes and black screen issues that were unrelated to the LDU that popped on my way there. They even put in extra hours to ensure I was able to get back on the road home to Vegas on schedule. It was a long trek to get there, but these guys stand by their work and make it absolutely worth the effort to go to them!
