Thanks for the video and doing the drive. We use our S+ for drives between Chicago and Lawrence Kansas, which is about 580 miles in a day. I moved to lighter weight rims to improve efficiency and in parallel reduce battery draw/improve the cooling between DC stops. It's not perfect, but it does help. Go Leaf

We're turning over a new Leaf, We're trading in our 2015 Leaf for a 2023 Leaf SV+ today. A2Z EV(A Canadian Quebec company) makes a CCS to Chademo adapter I ordered one for the Leaf and also a Tesla destination charger adapter.

the west coast highway chargers have all been retofitted with new, and the other networks will make them redunandt which is awesome in the next two years it looks like! yayay

Indeed, though there are still a couple of original ones left out there. One of our employees who drove the car back to San Diego encountered one of the original units in Ridgefield WA at the Country Cafe!

Tony’s daughter died a few years ago. The comparison of a LEAF to ANY OTHER CAR for this trip = didn’t do so well. Sadly, any modern Tesla could do that trip in 24-48 hours, including sleeping for the driver.

I watched all 3 videos last night here is my take away. Since you claim to be an EV pioneer your video series was more negative than positive so the video left a bad taste in my mouth. First the Leaf was designed to be a compliance car(California EV mandate) not a long haul EV like a Tesla unfortunately Nissan didn't expect the Leaf to be a big ish seller, Rapid gate first came to light in 2018 with the 40kwh Leaf all Nissan did was a software change so people could overheat the battery pack, Leaf fans including myself were disappointed when the Plus model came out with no battery thermal management didn't you know this? You didn't show any stats you didn't show how fast you were driving? You didn't show how fast the car was charging,You didn't show the battery temperature at all Why didn't you use Leaf Spy? Why when you had the all day meeting why did you fast charge before the meeting causing the battery to get hot you could have level 2 charged the car and left with a full cooler battery you were stopped for 12hrs, Did you ever level 2 charge the car during your sleep breaks? You should have shown the whole drive showing it at high speed. Great advertising for why ICE owners should buy a Tesla. You probably permanently damaged the battery on that Leaf.
