Morgan James can sing anything from Aerosmith to the Allman Brothers and beyond. You're right, she's one of very few singers who can cover an Arethra Franklin tune and do it justice. Some others you might like include: Maps (with Post Modern Jukebox); Baby, I Love You (cover of the Arethra song with her husband on dobro); Dream On (cover of Aerosmith with PMJ). She has also covered the entire Beatles White Album. Also, she has many original songs as well.

Ms. Morgan is the Swiss Army knife of vocalists. She can sing any song in any style, and besides that, she's Julliard trained. Singing everything she wants to sing, inlcluding the Beatles White Album, and Jesus in an all female recording of Jesus Christ Superstar, she doen't fit into a soul or jazz or rock or pop or operatic genre, and I beleive that is why she is not an international phenom. BD, Thanks so much for reacting to My Buy Me a Coffee Dono song request to the amazing Morgan James. I knew you would really enjoy her, and her amazing voice. Morgan has done many songs, sung by Aretha, this one was an amazing song by Lulu. Some info on Morgan : Morgan James is classical Trained in the vocal arts and graduate of The Juilliard School of music. She worked hard , and also taut herself to belt. She does belt in some of the songs she sings, but only when she feels it's needed, she doesn't over do it. Her amazing range at (5 octaves) is something to behold. Morgan has so much versatility in what she sings, Rock, Blues, Soul, Country, & Broadway. She continues to train & excercise her vocial cords to keep her voice in tip top shape, and keeps it at a classical range. She also writes her own music with her husband, Doug Wamble, he's sitting down playing the guitar on the left during this live session. She has also done many performances with Scott Bradlee & Postmodern Jukebox. More Morgan James to come, she has done so many covers & her own written music as well. Can I ask for a reaction? Have you heard of the Norwegian singer Sissel Kyrkjebø? She has been the national treasure of Norway for decades. Her voice is out of this world.
