When youtubers try to always make their episode more than the previous one, it can become overwhelming both for the creator and the audience. Honestly this episode felt like a breath of fresh air. Not everything has to be so polished, ya know?

I honestly really like the slower HC video. Especially with the holidays and everything that's been going on with the empires crossover and the King Ren stuff, it's nice to take a bit of a break and focus on some smaller/slower things. I enjoy hearing your explanations and what's going through your mind while following your building process, it's very informative and it's cool seeing how small details like controlling tall grass and flower placement or using small differences in natural terrain can make such a big difference. Mega builds and shenanigans with friends is always entertaining and fun, however I do enjoy taking a step back to chill out and focus on/appreciate smaller aspects of a build or creation. I think it'd be cool to see a video like this every now and again, and potentially seeing a few extra moments like this in normal videos as well.

BDubs, glad you are feeling better, and hoping for a quick recovery! Have always enjoyed your perspectives and explanation which have helped in my developing a building style. FYI - your face on the wall has a bit of a "Persistence of Memory" feel to it, which makes sense since you love clocks and that is Salvador Dali's key item in the painting. Merry Christmas to you and your family!

You made me think about how some video games contrasts a color like a diorite stone with red foliage a lot. Might not hurt to add foliage on the stone for that overgrowth look too. I really admire how bdubs very intentionally takes the time to savor this game still after so long. I've been trying to implement that concept of savoring more into my life. Thinking of things as art projects rather than something to beat makes it feel so much more fulfilling. I'm starting to think of Minecraft more as an art medium than a game. Really there's some concept artist level work coming out of the hermits, but just in a medium no one is used to.

so interesting fact of the grass on hills thing, grass dont grow on steep hills because water rises through soil, if theres an incline, the grass on the top of the incline will be brighter than the bottom. good references are: -railroad banks where they raise the ground for the tracks -bunkers that arent very low under ground (the grass on top dies because theres no soil lifting the water to the surface) -and medieval trenches.

it's always so nice to see more terrain and biome-focused builds! it's one of my absolute favorite things in Minecraft - both to build, and to watch/look at, and because they make the world feel so much more alive, especially if you build things like this around your base. it's really fun to see the similarities in design and thought process between this and my own stuff, but you do everything so much more confidently, while i - as a hopeless perfectionist - spend way too long on each individual block.. lol hope you get well soon Bdubs, we'll be looking forward to your next amazing creations!

Don’t worry about making each video better then the last. Instead set yourself with a goal for the video. Tutorial, Co-lab, “Lore”, “Top 1”. Tutorial can be Redstone, Terrain, Close-up Textures (walls, Stairs, Slabs, etc..), Far away Textures (using blocks to add shading and stuff). Co-Lab - just fun interaction with others, we all love to see you all having fun with each other bringing the multiplayer aspect into the game. Lore - the whole Ren The King set Top 1 - This one is a hard one, put all the effort to make it better then the last Top 1, need a little bit of everything, keeping it all small (time lapses for the building side explaining your techniques that link back to another video), co-labs (if only this funny thing or two that happened between you and others off-camera). Mixing things up like this will make all videos the best for someone, and ultimately everyone.

Watching you, the Bob Ross of Minecraft, slow things down and just share the process is one of my favorite things. Today’s video was only made better by my baby boy being home for Christmas to watch with me. BabyBoyRedeemed and I loved the biome creating, but agreed that interspersing the blue & crimson bits together (a few blue mixed with primary crimson patch…and a few crimson mixed with primarily blue) might make those bits feel more cohesive. What you did with the diorite, lichen & mossy cobble was so stinking good. I love that you always have a reason for how things are as they are. I need to grow in this. Glad you’re feeling better DBubs. Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Honestly, Bdubs, I think these are the most relatable episodes to watch. Despite not getting as much done on projects, these kinds of videos probably showcase you playing the game how most of your audience plays. I don't know if that makes sense but I think too that a lot of small KZbinrs struggle by comparing themselves or others to large scale Minecraft channels and not be able to put out the same kind of content. Perhaps seeing videos like these can encourage others in general to play and make with more confidence

To be honest, I miss this style of video. It is much more satisfying, and I feel like its more manageable for the youtuber. Watching the video, there's anticipation to see what it will look like, and having you explain every step is the content. Newer videos the content is all progress about the progress and if you don't do a mega build you won't have enough content to fill an episode. You made a 75x75 area feel like a huge build without being boring and that says a bunch. Great episode, would love to see this be standard format (maybe for Building w/ Bdubs instead of Hermitcraft though)

I like the slower paced stuff! Really love when you walk us through some of the more detail-oriented aspects of building like Biome makeovers! I'm the terraformer in my group, so it's nice to see other people focusing on terrain and biome cultivation

Rip bdubs voice. Also yes, this slower style of video is fantastic.

Fun fact: red and cyan actually are on the opposites sides of the color wheel. Red, yellow and blue being the primary colors is a myth, the true primary colors are magenta, cyan and yellow. The secondary colors are red, green and blue (RGB)

This felt like a Bob Ross style video Very relaxing and chilled out. This is also a very good video format, i really enjoyed it!

Rewatched Season 1 this week, funny enough! I appreciate the polish on your newer episodes, but I do miss that slower, relaxed pace! Building w Bdubs was my after-school unwind ritual 10 years ago! Sometimes I feel like I haven't seen an old friend in a while. Hope the family is well! Would love to see that pace return, maybe on the single player?

It’s funny how several different contrasting concepts can bring entire areas together a become cohesive. I love the use of the nether sprouts in the over world, they’re a brilliant terrain colour. Nice work bdubs.

It was nice to have you return to your calmer style of videos...reminded me of the Building with BDubs that first drew me to your channel!

As someone who watched the farm and gliss6-style castle arc of Building W/ BDoubleO, I missed these types of episodes. I appreciate the newer style too but something about this sort of episode still feels very special even all these years later. GWS BDubs.
