That stuff in between the logs is insulation to help keep the inside of the cabin warm, its sometimes dried moss thats stuffed in between the logs

When I was really young, I lived on a cattle ranch in southeast Idaho. Our summer cattle range was a big lodgepole pine forest. You absolutely NAILED it.

One of the only Minecraft players that can make a video titled "Revolutionizing Building" and everyone just believes it. Mainly because it happens like, twice a week.

add flowers or some sort of colour along the small creek, i thinj it would look rly cool
@catinapipe6014 сағат бұрын
i think you should make a kind of small flower field, like how you see loads of bluebell flowers in dark shadowed forests
@plsnotme15 сағат бұрын
You should hide spore blossoms for the ambient particles

Hello Bdubs got an idea. I watched your ep before this and something sparked my interested. So in your forest you could add a deer. Like what Scar made with the giraffes but you could make a buck (deer) in the forest I mean it's an idea and you might not see this comment but hopefully maybe you will see it. Or a bear because it's bigger and not like a deer.

There is so much attention to detail in everything about this video, I am just dumbfounded. If feels very relaxed and easy going, yet there is not a second or even frame too many anywhere in there. And that is just the pacing and editing, not even mentioning all the other talents required. Truly a master at his craft. What a wonderful gift to enjoy at Saturday morning breakfast with the sun falling through the windows. Thank you Bdubs!

I think Bdubs is such a cool guy, yet he seems like such an oddball because every other hermit edits their movies.

Those white lines on the log cabin are called chinking, you can use a mixture clay and moss (and other stuff) to help insulate.
@indoorjetpacks18 сағат бұрын
having the smoke signal as an indicator of when you have mail is so clever? also speaking as someone who's rechinked a log cabin IRL, that cabin looks amazing. P.S. chink can either be synthetic or mortar based
@lordvetinari133119 сағат бұрын
The stuff on the cabin is called chinking and it is, as you said, basically giant grout

Bud's, would you be able to do a tutorial on how to make one of these trees? plz and thank you Plus I would love to make a few around my next project and try to get the hang of custom trees 😸❤️

So for animals/animal sounds in the forest, could try mob heads on sound blocks to randomly(wandering chicken pressure plate, underground somewhere) go off or by proximity via sculk sensor
@broomstick670521 сағат бұрын
since you are so fond of the parrots, you could sit them on the path block in order to constantly reset the drip leaf. just a thought.

An idea for you forest, since you added the running water sound, you could also add some music boxes around with a sound of forest (wind, leaves blowing). Just to set a calm and forest mood. :)

It might be clay between the logs. Obviously hard to tell without seeing a picture, but if it's a genuine log cabin, there's usually mosses or grass stuffed between to act as insulation/ keep rain or wind out, ect. I don't see why it couldn't be local clay! I'm sure I came across this information somewhere like TA Outdoors on YT

22:27 Is this the new Tree of Whimsy?
@bradybrown3176Күн бұрын
The fact that you used the shape of the newly leafed tree ( the one that was dead by the mail box) to create shapes when you look at your base. It is incredible. At certain parts leafs touching and connecting to the background dead tree to create a unison feel with that part of the base with little whimsical pieces that connect to the buildings but not blocking it, and more of highlighting the buildings again making it look like a well crafted picture (pun intended). It is truly amazing to watch this at work and really inspires me to build to that level and also admire the dedication that you put into this. Thank you bdubs!

With the invisible armor stand, even if it isn't staying down permenantly, it does give the impression of blowing gently in the wind? for an awning or even rustling leaves in your forest?

I have no idea why it took me so long to watch bdubs videos? I've been watching hermitcraft for years, but there's so many amazing ppl to check out I somehow never got around to bdubs. Anyways, it's crazy how different these videos are from what I expected them to be. I only know bdubs from other hermit's videos and could have truly never guessed this editing style to be what to get. So wholesome, really calming, amazing music. Just overall I'm obsessed!!
