@@husky3g Absolutely. I’ve always loved the way that Peterson puts it. If you’re no danger to anyone, you can’t choose peace. Scripture calls Jesus “meek” and so many people misunderstand what is meant by that. Someone who is meek isn’t weak and doesn’t lack confidence - no, a meek person is someone who has quiet confidence and self-control, and chooses to show restraint, mercy and grace. Someone who is at peace. Essentially the opposite of someone with a chip on their shoulder that flips out at the slightest provocation.

Not only should you learn to be prepared for anything, you deserve a man, who would run out and face 10 men, if need be, to keep you safe. I first heard this argument from Jordan Peterson who said a weak man cannot be a good man because he is not dangerous. Not doing violence is not a virtue when you don’t possess the capacity to do violence. A good man is a dangerous man who has it under voluntary control.

You will here stories of Christian men and woman and children giving their lives for the sake of the gospel. It's never done with physical weapons.

I like this a lot! It seems modern Christianity has taken too much of route of misinterpretation of thinking men need to be gentle and soft and non aggressive in certain ways. I don’t think that’s true. I think God designed men to be Warriors, kings, and protectors. There are so many stories in the Bible of God growing individuals into warriors. God himself is a warrior. But as warriors we must have our capacity to be dangerous under voluntary control. Thus the Lion and the Lamb which is the savior of the world.
