You are not alone, I was about to get engaged with my girlfriend of 6 years before starting dental school. She started treating me really poorly and pushing me away. Ultimately it felt like she forced me to break up with her. I came to find out she had cheated on me with a guy we both work with. I tried to win her back, was begging and pleading and ultimately got rejected by her. They are trying to keep their relationship secret but to no avail. This is really correct. My bf broke up with me in november. Im a psychology student myself so I knew what to do but also watched these amazing videos which helped me. I did the work and he did come back and visited me (long distance) but he hadnt worked with himself, therefore he made the same immature mistakes. So I told him that it is for the best to stop talking.I hope he will solve his problems and be a better man. As hard as it is leaving somone you love, respecting yourself is the most important thing ,so when they dont come back right you gotta let them go. Thank you coach Craig for your amazing work =)

My mom acted like I didn’t exist and when she acknowledged me was just to beat me up. Treated me so poorly I wish I was dead many times. Guess what? I married a man just like my mom he wouldn’t know I’m in the house even if I’m on top of him. I can tear myself apart and he’s there just watching tv. I lost my Dad in 2017. I broke up with my girlfriend at the time just a few months later, I couldn't focus on her while dealing with such loss, we grew so far apart. I now wish I'd worked through my issues WITH her instead of AWAY from her. We've been broken up over a year, and my attempts to make it work again have been off the mark. If you have someone you really care about, please take it from me: Relationships are WORK, ALWAYS. Stick with it if they care for you and are there for you. You'll save yourself a lot of pain later on.

I know the feeling of losing a parent. My father passed about 16 years ago but when I lost my mother three years ago, I felt this sense of being cut loose but not in a good way. It was like I lost my moorings. Fortunately I'm close with my two brothers so we helped each other through.

Once again another great video Craig, I found you the hard way after breaking up with my ex ( over 3 weeks NC ) and then Coming across your stuff was like gold dust! She also was depressed and has trauma, I also was focused too much on my stuff, everything that I am learning watching your stuff and reading about attachment styles also comments are growing me into a better person... what if she reaches out to me and she sees I have done loads of work on me but she hasn't on herself ? My ex told me she couldn’t make me a priority b/c her 2 girls (11 & 14) required her time. Her 14 yo is up & down emotionally due to limes disease. She left me in mid May the day after I took her to a concert for her bday. She’s an avoidant as well. Hurts!

I was communicating with my ex shortly after the breakup, she thought I slept with someone and then sent me hateful messages a few days later. I told her I didn't sleep with anyone but she's still really upset. She has blocked me for a week and I'm unable to contact her at all. I just hope she unblocks me but it's looking hopeless right now. UPDATE: She's also in a rebound relationship, which is about 3 weeks long.

my girl is going completely cold on me. That's been going on for around a month. I don't want to lose her but I also and rather do not wanna stay in that situation where I don't get the appreciation and love I deserve. I told her already that I won't put up with this but nothing changed. Should I just walk and let her reach out when she feels like it (even though it hurts every day being her not attracted to me) or actively end it to prove my boundaries and regain the respect?

I don't agree with you on the monkey branching behavior bcuz that encourages people to hang on to a partner and when said person gets dumped its especially hurtful. Get out and move on to someone esle instead while in a relationship. My ex cheated and this thinking encourages this behavior...IMO
