I think a great deal of that sense of wanting peace comes with age. I spent 23 years as a firefighter, which is nothing but wading into chaos and turmoil for other people. Now, at 51, I just want my old tractor, a little plot of land, strong fences, to love my family, and to have the remainder of my life in peace. Thank you for your words and wisdom.

Respect is a vine with logic and reason as branches. Some people were never taught, some never learned. Some people are wired differently. No amount of empathy, logic, reason, want of remedy, cure, or removal of controversy will reach by any means applied. It's hard to accept that there isn't a way to have the conversation that leads to a handshake, a new beginning, or a clean end. If continued with the misguided or tangled wiring the carousel of continued misinterpretations or deaf ears will continue. Don't throw a rope to king Kong unless you know God of Haven walks with you. Some don't want to give up on hoping the change can come. Sometimes prayer and leaving it to God is the only answer. We don't learn this in school. Thanks for your work. It reaches. It connects. It's needed in today's society and communities. Whatever is left of it can be shored up and rebuilt, or just reminded of how we do.

I had what I have called an unpeaceful home life growing up. I played sports growing up and went to work for a man who taught me how to frame houses. Very patient man. I would work hard all day and go to the gym in the evening to help “release” anger. I became a firefighter several years later, which of course, is stressful. Saw a lot of pain and suffering while doing my best with my crew to help alleviate some of the pain and suffering of others. I’m retired now but still keep busy and love woodworking and building stuff. I’ve realized that the peace I have is really God’s Peace that He gives to me when I make myself available and open to Him. I’ve learned that when I do my part by creating a “quiet place”, whether that be in a quiet little chapel, or an out of the way place in nature or even in my own home, then at some point during that quiet time God visits me with His Peace. I’ve always been somewhat introverted and a lone wolf, though I do like being around people, but I also like my “alone time” just to “be” and I do try to stay away from the noise of the world. I will say it’s been a long road to get where I am now and it’s not for the faint of heart. I also have learned that my strength to persevere is from God. He doesn’t ask me to be the strongest man in the arena, but to just keep getting up and walking toward Him and just not quit. Resting is fine, just don’t quit the journey.

Hello, Dewayne! Best regards from Eastern Europe ) I was just about to write a comment on whether you could do a video or include in one of your incoming ones the topic of intimidation. When someone is trying to intimidate you for whatever reasons, both in and outside of you, but I think this video answered my questions about that well enough. In one of your older videos you said that you have a heart for young people. Very rarely do I see someone translate their words into actions as unequivocally as you do it. The sheer fact that every time I listen to you talking about whatever it is that's on your mind, it feels like I'm in the same room sitting across from you, speaks for itself. It can be deceiving when you're down and yet the person you're talking to isn't saying what you'd like to hear. But in my experience, both personal and as an observant, the best help is the unapologetic one. All the best to you and yours!

Jesus is the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6). Have you ever gone to him in search of peace? As a personal testimony, I spent sixteen years wanting peace and having nothing but turmoil in my heart and mind. Only when I came to Jesus and his sacrifice at Calvary and put all my faith and trust in him to pay my debt for my sins did I find unexplainable peace (Philippians 4:7). Prior to that I was worried did I do this right, or did I say a prayer right, or whatever else I was worried about so I never had peace because I was relying on what I did. It was all about me. I found no peace in that. True everlasting peace only cames through complete and utter reliance solely on Jesus and his payment to pay for me so that i can go free with His peace. It’s amazing that he would do that for me but it has been such a blessing to have peace in all aspects of life now that I have been born again and thus became a child of God. I pray you are able to find His peace!

how can I find peace in this world where 1) literal satanic stuff is happening full of pain and horror and 2) we all die without being able to change it thank you sir
@Lyuktheduke5 ай бұрын
“But take heart; I have overcome the world” and “Choose this day whom you will serve” God is on the throne (Psalm 2) and allows everything, so don’t worry about anything (Matthew 6) and always remember that though in this world we will have hardship, we have an eternal peace waiting for us on the other side (Hebrews 12). So continue serving Him, and know that while you may not be able to change anyone or anything else without God’s providence, you can do one thing: choose the Lord every day over the world and Satan.

1 Peter 3:9-11 Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing ,because to this you were called so that you may receive a blessing. For, " whoever would love life and see good days must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from deceitful speech .He must turn from evil and do good. Glory to God.

Proverbs 9:10-12 “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. For by me your days will be multiplied, And years of life will be added to you." If we stay in God's word, we will have the wisdom to stay away from things that hinder our peace. I've never been more at peace than I am when I'm on fire for the Lord. He gives us wisdom through His word.

absolutely. Always I`m on fire for the LORD I feel fulfilled. The opposite is that we get conflicted, misguided, lost.

Thanks for mentioning the November situation, Dwayne. This feeling of disquiet is universal. Im from Mexico, living in Spain, and both countries are also going through serious social problems. Don’t even get me started on the rest of Europe. Thank you for your wise words, we all need this kind of advice.

I grew up in an environment full of fighting, verbal abuse and exploitation.I get used to it. The art of Don't give a fuck. How to avoid the drama and how to take care of my self.I learnt how to be in peace. I learnt to respect my self. I learnt how to set boundaries, and never brake them. I built like that. It don't get any better... I'm growing and learning everyday how to become a better, more valuable person, with dignity and interiority. Thanks Mr Dwayne for sharing wisdom and knowledge to young fellas out there. Vlad, 19, from Greece.

Spot on. I am 44 and been walking with Jesus for 6 years now. Man I was the worst of the worst but no more. I've stopped the things causing chaos in my life including alcohol and my state of mind. It came naturally with Jesus. Stopped social media load music, it's the worldly things I know longer desire. I desire peace above all. I find myself in rooms with everyone complaining about the ways of the world with no solutions. Sounds to much like whining to me, like victomehood. The problem is it's at work so I have to be the bad guy and ask them to change the subject or I leave. There is no getting away from it at times so I try to break off some wisdom and shift the conversation to this. It will not stop and you can't run from it but you can choose to stand against it. They all know at work I don't want to hear complaining without solutions, and i don't care what celebrities are doing. If that makes me the bad guy so be it. I cannot go back to who I was and the chaos invites that old rage in me. After doing all to stand, stand again. Thank you for the video.

Peace of mind is among my most valued possessions. I thank The Most High for granting this to me amidst all l the chaos and drama in this world. Been through a lot and still have some time to go but darn it, I refuse to be stressed. It's not good for the mind, body, or spirit and I want to enjoy my life and all the things God has been gracious enough to give me.

Peace - "the removal of turmoil". That's pretty good. I like also Grahame Cook's: "peace is not the absence of pressure. Peace is when the pressure on the inside equals the pressure on the outside". Different angle, but I believe equally as true.
