I love running Arcstrider, and I’ll be attempting solo GMs with it this season. One of the things I like running with it is Reactive Bulwark,it allows you to perform finishers while staying safe, and can be really helpful in The Lightblade since it works while finishing the Hive Ghosts.

@@sciji3118 The biggest difference is that Arcstrider is a little more risky but far more aggressive, while Omni is more defensive but is the definition of reliability as you don't have to get a single kill to keep the loop going. I would say that the Cowl build is stronger overall, because it just kills everything so incredibly fast while being nearly as safe as Omni.

Highly agreed, already have all these builds ready to go for the launch of GMs. I'd like to add HoiL Void titan tho, another flexible build that does everything from add clear, "healing" and/or bunkering down, and debuffs. It's a step down from Stormnades Titan in terms of damage, but it trades that off for more survivabilty IMO. But other than that, yeah this list looks like the truly S-tier builds this season. I totally get though why a bunch of other viable builds didn't make this list - just because this list looks like the exact list to take into GMs when you're truly desperate for that clear or are carrying on Glassway or Lightblade and whatnot. And a bunch of other builds mentioned here in the comments are viable, it's just that more often than not they're the ones you're free to use on the easier side of GMs like farming Disgraced, etc. Solar hunter is a personal favorite of mine that I take into GM as much as possible, and I only drop when truly desperate and end up running Omni Hunter lol.

Wanna add survivability to the Grenade Titan build? Switch out some mods. Add Reaping Wellmaker and Well of tenacity. Every time you use Thruster and get a weapon kill, you drop a void well which adds Resist. If you also change your nade to pulse and add Explosive Wellmaker (pulse nades proc Explosive Wellmaker) and well of life (for healing), you survive even longer :)

This build is amazing. My gear is nowhere near 100s for mobility, resilience or discipline and I am still able to merc a lot of enemies in game. Though I am grinding to try and get the gear stats and mods needed to truly take full advantage of the build. I am missing a few elemental and well mods that you recommend. Hopefully rng will be nice and ada will allow me to purchase them lol

The hardest part of running Arcstrider in tough content is getting and keeping the loop going. It'd be really nice if you still got combination blow credit for the lightning aftershock. Any tips on what to do when you start running out of red bars to keep the CBx3 stack going?

The problem with the number 1 spot is charged with light mods that give a Damage bonus do NOT stack with other forms of Empowering bonuses like one two punch or Radiant or any of the others you'll get the melee recharge but not the increase to power.

Striking light is for generating orbs for your team with melee kills, and the damage reduction so you don’t run into that problem.

The only potential issue I have with arcstrider in GMs is all the blueberries mindlessly aping, wondering why they keep needing a rez. A lot of players see guides on builds, but don't realize there's a skill gap involved.

I would just like to point out, for Ragnhild-D, you can have auto-loading + one-two punch. Its purpose is really just to proc the ability to give you the big slaps, so not having to waste time reloading is FANTASTIC. I have the big love for Wastelander most of the time, but having a harder hitting gun that reloads itself once it has served its purpose is, imo, pretty perfect for the arc-slapper build.

just a question great videos i used a few builds/ my main problem is when i upload to dim everything is shaded out i have to find new. obviously with the stats and elements which i have // could you add what elements you need for head arms chest legs and cloak\mark\bond or am i being stupid.. i know what elements firepower etc are just need to know with each build what 5 pieces i need. i have many x100 builds on all classes normally exotics letting me down as i have no ascendant shards. so manage one or two a season.

Arcstrider is the Arc Hunter subclass. The Assassin's Cowl exotic helmet grants invisibility and partially restores health/shield on powered melee kills and finishers. Final blows on powerful targets increase invisibility's duration and the amount of health/shield restored. What's neat is that with Arc 3.0, the Arc Fragment 'Lethal Current' can proc Assassin's Cowl even when you kill a target with a non-powered melee because what Lethal Current does is jolt a target if you dodge beforehand, which counts as 'powered', I guess. Gambler's Dodge should be getting your melee back anyway if you're near enemies, and melees should be getting you your dodges back, and Combination Blow x3 deletes most enemies, so with Lethal Current active, you can get away with non-powered melee kills still making you invisible in the rare occurrence where you're waiting for a dodge or melee to finish charging. I spec'd for this build as soon as I saw it because I enjoy a punchy Arcstrider. Dorvarich then made a video using the build to solo-flawless Grasp of Avarice, which I then did for the first time, first try, on a lunch break from work. The build has a LOT of survivability.

Hmm, that's hard to say. Two Wellocks and a Grenade Titan comes to mind. The Wellocks chain their supers nonstop while everything gets lightning stormed to death.

@@Dorvarich Is it? I find it to be one of the most survivable Warlock builds. I exclusively use this with well, as I prefer the super regeneration provided by ashes to assets. With it, Phoenix seems like a less useful exotic choice. I almost always have a well available after a few grenade kills (which are obviously very easy to get with 2 charges and quick regen). How does Phoenix afford more survivability? If it's because of the super regeneration, this is easily doable with Starfire.

For GM I'd say it's a must. One-Two Punch is the only way you're going to burst down GM-level champs, lightbearers, and other priority targets before they notice and kill you. If you drop the shotgun you'll turn into a strictly ad-clear build, which is a lot of wasted potential.

Shadebinder: use Taking Charge and slot a Kinetic Siphon. Significant downgrade but it'll work. Grenade Titan: you can use Charge Harvester to become CWL instead. Arcstrider: drop the whole CWL package and use Bountiful Wells, Seeking Wells, and another Melee Wellmaker

Turrets are really strong! I do prefer this setup though because turrets are impossible to control, and can decide to freeze champions at bad times.

Turrets are for people who like to sit back and tickle away at enemies slowly, nothing wrong with that but its a really slow playstyle. Coldsnaps are instant freeze and allow you to be more aggressive.

Yeah it's a bit of a poor choice for Glassway because although it works amazingly in everything up to the boss room, it doesn't do much in the room where most of the strike takes place. I just ran it in Lightblade though to gild my Conq, and it worked beautifully there.

You could, but you'd be really gimping yourself. Even though you're always invisible, Omnioculus' damage resist will still save you from incidental damage and DoT's, and the double melee charge and energy back on making allies invisible is irreplaceable.

You should also mention that an Osmo build for warlock should be HEAVILY invested into Resilience. Disipline min at 60 bare minimum and the rest is gravy. Not to mention that Bleak Watcher with this combination is also viable since Bleak Watcher got updated to now be able to freeze targets.

Since the release of Solar 3.0! I'm really surprised there weren't more people talking about it. Well of Radiance has always had a quirk where it makes your damage count as Super damage since the day it was released. It used to work for teammates too, but now it only works for the caster.

What would you swap out for Striking Light if you had to? ADA hasn't sold that since I've started playing unfortunately.

You could not run any CWL mods (because Striking Light is really good in this build and other CWL mods can't be compared for this usecase) and run more well-generators. That would lead to more ability energy. I am pretty sure those Chain-Lightnings count as explosive damage so you could run explosive wellmaker to create solar wells with those and your grenade and then benefit from them via Well of Life (solar wells grant slow passive healing) to complement the playstyle.

It's good and definitely GM viable, but I wouldn't put it on quite the same level as the rest of these since it gets a lot less strong at the level where restoration no longer keeps you alive in the thick of the fight. But again, this is all my opinion.

Arc is the only subclass i like on hunters, others are just trash to me at least

Solar hunters have highest DPS super in game, heal nades, and kills with knives make you radiant giving you a 25% damage buff and you get knife back to keep procking radiant. One of the best in game. Pair it with an incandescant gun and you will squort

@@exquisite4174 Not to mention Empyrean frag to keep heal greande cure up too. Ammit rifle with incandescent has been nuts. Top it off if I get a boss been running Lucky pants/Malfeasance. Swap to that melt big target then back to perma radiant/cure fiery explosion heaven.

Very first build: No. If you're not using the Osmiomancy Gauntlets to create multiple stasis turrets, ESPECIALLY during GMs, you're doing it wrong.

That's your opinion, just like it's my opinion that Bleak Watcher turrets are overrated. But that's the beauty of Destiny: there are so many ways to approach the game, and different players find success with different playstyles.

I feel like the constant free extra damage from arc souls, rifts for healing, and storm Grenade spam of getaway artists deserves a spot above the assassins cowl purely because if your loop breaks with cowl, you're in the thick of it and you're immediately screwed. Nightstalker gets away with it bc they can go invis without needing a kill.

Agreed. It is harder to keep your loop with a team as they can often kill the red bar you needed to punch to keep it going and you die.

I've found Synthoceps to be a little iffy in GM's. The build relies on its own healing outpacing incoming damage, and most GM enemies hit too hard to really do that.

@@Dorvarich a team of 2 solar titans and a omni hunter with blinding gls make it so nothing hits u and u destroy everything. ( I also find cowl very awkward 2 use over just spamming hammer) I guess that's a team comp not a build I agree solar titan alone is not that great

@@loganmcdougall8647 yeah that team comp does sound pretty nasty. I'm usually helping out newer friends when I run GM's so I didn't think about that build in a team context, but it sounds like one of the best ways to quickly blast through.

Massively overpowered enemies??? The game caps you 25 levels lower. The enemies aren't overpowered, we as the players have been underpowered.
