Peace, Bishop Barron. Deep down, I am afraid of abandonment. I only wanted to be a wife and a mom when I was young. I went to school and got a master's degree to humor my Dad, so that I wouldn't be left without being able to get a good paying job. Now I'm poor again, a working disabled woman, and I get to go to school again. I still fear abandonment. People will do that-- abandon you, but God will never abandon you. That's what I have learned so far in my life. I hope that I will succeed in school-- getting my paramedic certification and renewed CDL; finding a job while I work on my Doctorate. Then hopefully teaching Psychology and Education in a college. I pray for myself and my family members -- that we all have healthy fear of hurting God. Thank you.

Dearest Bishop Robert Barron, Good morning! A few weeks ago, I was struggling, and I eventually started to sense that fear inside of me was an attack by Satan meant to cripple my faith. And his attack was working because I was beginning to believe in Satan's agent. Whenever fear would assail me to distract my relationship with serving God, I tried to read the bible verses, but the fear didn't go away; since then, I have realized that many Christians experience similar challenges. Through the Sunday sermon, I find peace. I praise the Lord that I haven't doubted His saving work for turning my weaknesses into strengths and making it possible for me to live with Him and my family forever. Bishop, I pray that Jesus Christ continues to help me overcome fearful thoughts. Thank you for the Sunday sermon today and for praying for my family. God bless you all. St. pray for us. Bishop Barrons uses powerful examples of saints to demonstrate those who had fear of the Lord and could truly proclaim by their lives, "Be not afraid" in the midst of a world that gave reasons to fear. There is something sobering about how we can suffer eternal punishment if we deny God, even as we marvel that God has made a way for us to Eternal Life to strengthen us in the midst of whatever evil can come at us in this world. Yet all the world can do is kill our bodies, not our souls.

I do not want to fall away from our Loving God Bishop Barron!!! Despite not having any support from my family, my loved ones and not yet being part of a close community of believers within the Catholic Church. Also not yet participating in service for those who are in need for our Lord. To overcome the obstacles, the challenges I face within and those outside. To persevere regardless of the thoughts and the senses, that are trying to distance me from my God given Faith, to our Eternal Loving Father God, to our Loving Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, to our Lord the Giver of Life, our Great Advocate, the Holy Spirit, and to the Catholic Church!!! Thank you Bishop Barron for this very important Sermon, and these questions we need to ask ourselves...And to TRUST our Lord Jesus Christ's WORDS...TO NOT FEAR what can kill the body BUT FEAR THE ONE WHO CAN KILL THE BODY AND SOUL!!! Our spirit, where God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit ABIDES and my spirit ABIDES IN GOD!!! I pray to the Lord God to keep me CLOSE TO HIM. Interesting way to explain our relationship with God. To be afraid of God. That is why to this day I am still afraid of going to hell. That is what I was taught as a child. I now only think about God’s love and grace. He forgives me and and doesn’t want me to fear Him.

Bishop Barron,this video is so timely. It's the fear of losing, of, in part of having lost, my 'fear of the Lord' that I fear most just now. If that makes sense. I know that even when I can't feel his presence,he is still here, with me through everything. But I feel, and have felt, for so long, so wretched from this sense of abandonment, of loss; like I have forsaken him or am despairing of my own self. To paraphrase St.Mary Magdalene: "that 'i' have 'taken' my Lord away, and I don't know where I have put him." Then I think, who are you to expect that awareness so strongly of God's presence when so many others throughout time,and now; so much more worthy of; who served God so much more than I have, did so through worse trials than I could imagine. I don't think I have ever felt, not so much afraid of, as, overwhelmed by, the things that 'can kill the body'. But too, Bishop, I still feel a stirring of one of the three things which abide: hope. Partly so I think through just writing this down. Who indeed am I to be afraid? God bless you Bishop Barron. Your videos are always so encouraging. And God bless too, dear sister Ella for recommending them to me. Please pray for me Bishop Barron, and thank you.

Thank you Bishop Barron ,you’re one of those church minister ,apostle ,shepherd ,that I still truly and wholeheartedly trust. So much going on in the Catholic Church ,that one wonders ,if our Faith can survive ,there’s so much noise,that I sometimes just don’t want to read or listen anymore .Be a source of inspiration for me,for us ,to increase in us the Faith.

They with ears to hear, let them hear: Through the Holy Spirit, God has put it on me to preach to those lost in the devil's deceit! Hear me when I say, ye that are Catholic have been deceived and know not God. Ye worship Mary, praying to her; when God tells his to worship none other than him. It is idolatry. Catholicism has its own Bible and teachings, which are blasphemous to the word of God: the Holy Bible. As ye follow the teachings of man and not God; ye hear the pope, but not Jesus, yet ye claim to be his disciples! These are but a few things I named ye dwell within; there are many more. I tell you now to repent of your sins, accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, and you'll receive the gift of the Holy Spirit upon asking the Father! There are *NO* sub-divisions of Christianity. You're either a disciple of Christ or not. A Christian is someone who follows God's word, not a religion. Who obey the Father and follow his will; not man's nor their own heart's. Unless you keep Jesus' commandments, think not the Holy Spirit will dwell within you! They who heed this message and did what was stated with an open heart to God... Read the Holy Bible (KJV) daily and every time before you read, pray to the Father and ask: "Lord I ask that you give me understanding of your word, that I interpret it the way you want me to, and none of my own. I ask you in Jesus' name, amen." Revelation 22:8-9 KJV 8 And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things. 9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God. Acts 2:38 KJV 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Luke 11:13 KJV 13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? John 14:21-24 KJV 21 *He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.* 22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? 23 Jesus answered and said unto him, *If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.* 24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and *the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.* 3 John 1:11 KJV 11 Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. *He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.* 1 John 3:6-10 KJV 6 *Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.* 7 Little children, let no man deceive you: *he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.* 8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 9 *Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.* 10 *In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God,* neither he that loveth not his brother.

1) Please pay attention to the prayers said at the Mass. 2) This Sunday, Psalm 69 was read. A verse in it is This is my prayer to you, my prayer for your favour. In your great love, answer me, O God, with your help that never fails. 3)Prayer for peace at Mass asking the Lord, who gives peace, to look not on our sins and grant the Church peace Lord Jesus Christ, who said to your Apostles: Peace I leave you, my peace I give you; look not on our sins, but on the faith of your Church, and graciously grant her peace and unity in accordance with your will. 4) Ask any priest about the above things.

Before I retired I felt like everyone was against me. I was working overtime, had a nasty supervisor who was determined to get me out but I hung on as long as I could. The supervisor was not a Christian. God said you time is up here but I didn’t see it until I left. Now those people cannot touch me. Who cares what they say or what they think. I am happy now!❤️🙏

BE NOT AFRAID TO STAND UP AND SUPPORT BISHOP STRICKLAND, BISHOP BARRON!
@peterj6740 Жыл бұрын
We can respect different opinions but in the end we must follow our conscience. To go against our conscience is neither safe or right . Bishop Strickland is a good and sincere man but he is not always correct and the same can be said about any Bishop. Don't ever follow any person blindly as you will fall into a ditch and get so disappointed . Simply follow Christ alone who is the true Light of the world and you will never walk in darkness and reach " The promised land " where God dwells eternally.
