My favorite episode is #81, “Pray Simply, Pray Always”. It touched my heart deeply because I tend to overthink and complicate everything. Lord, have mercy.

I have witnessed a lot of ego in Αrchbishop World.. I suppose its inevitable in positions of hierachy....

Not just hierarchy, we all have ego to deal with, don't we?

@@stevenchristoforou1667 absolutely we do....but we would be foolish to think Archbishops are void of ego.

@@lopposof Did anything in the video imply that anyone is void of ego?
@lopposof5 жыл бұрын
@@stevenchristoforou1667 no absolutely..im not disputing it..its just a personal feeling..Ego is the flower that comes out from the death of love.When we kill love the result is ego. ..I am 50 years old and have been chanting in church for many years. I have stood along side ArchBishops and in my humble experience the power goes to their head ...this "ranking" and "hierarchy" that the church supports dosnt sit well with me. And also i feel a truly humble servant of God would not want to be given the role of superiority over others.
@stevenchristoforou16675 жыл бұрын
@@lopposof Perhaps for some. Not all, thank God. Indeed, I don't think anyone should "want" to be bishop. It shouldn't be about power or ego. In fact, hierarchy in the Church isn't supposed to be about that at all. We made a video on the subject: Be the Bee #116 | Our Sacred Order kzbin.info/www/bejne/eGKrn6SgYpuSe8k

I’m so worried. I live in America, and was chrismated in a Russian Orthodox Church. But now I am moving, and I’m afraid I won’t be allowed to join a local parish because RO isn’t in communion with everyone else anymore.
@stevenchristoforou16675 жыл бұрын
Don't fear. This distressing and tragic, but thank God it isn't a full break in communion. RO parishes aren't allowed to commune people under EP parishes, but that doesn't go both ways. EP parishes aren't refusing to commune people from RO parishes. In other words, it doesn't affect someone like you. It only affects some people who visit RO parishes. No matter where you go, you'll be received by an Orthodox community. God bless you!

Pray that the Lord will lead you, but do take personal responsibility for your own actions. The spirit of ecumenism is the spirit of antichrist, and true believers must remain faithful to the true, and unpolluted faith and canons of our Holy Orthodox Church. May the Lord direct your steps. With much love, your sister in Christ 🙂

oscar Hidalgo you do realize every religion says they same thing right ?? Otherwise there would only have been One and Only religion !!Do you know why there are 4000 or more religions around the world ? Not to mention many other religions and the ancient pass that do not exist anymore ?? Think a little !
@stevenchristoforou16675 жыл бұрын
@@socman3988 1. Not every religion says the same thing. 2. Yes, there are a multitude of religions. I'm not sure what that proves.
@socman39885 жыл бұрын
@@stevenchristoforou1667 Exactly !! They don't say the same thing.!! So if there is just one god shouldn't there be just one religion ? But if not wouldn't god want all humans to believe in the same thing?? So why 4000 religions? I'll tell you what that proves!! It proves that ALL religions are man made fairytales based on no proof ! How does a whole country went from believing in the 12 gods of Olympus all of a sudden changed their minds to Christianity? Wasn't their ancient religion not good ? how about they all got a mass brainwash cause that is what religion does. I only believe in proof and science not fairytales. Religion is against science!

@@socman3988 The earth is either flat or it's not, yet people seem to disagree about that. I'm not sure why disagreement proves anything. As for why people began believing in Christ, it's clear. St Paul himself talks about how hundreds of people saw Christ after the Resurrection and testified to Him (including Paul himself). Christianity is based on a historical event: Jesus was placed into a tomb dead, and 3 days later He rose again. "If Christ has not been raised, then our proclamation has been in vain and your faith has been in vain." (1 Corinthians 15:14)
@stevenchristoforou16675 жыл бұрын
@@socman3988 Of course I don't believe it's flat. Your logic is implying that the existence of disagreement somehow questions the underlying proposition. In the same way, just because some believe believe the earth is flat should call us to question the spherical shape of the earth. I'm simply trying to point out the logical flaws in your posts (I hesitate to call them arguments). Yet you persist in name calling. You even invited me to kill myself. Why?
